Most of the Big Ten schools came to OSU this weekend for the annual
dual meet. It was not a ranked event, since OSU was the only varsity
team in attendance.

We fenced 9 schools, 8 having a full 3-man epee team and the other
with only 1 fencer. I won 20 of my 25 bouts, with an 80% record for
the day (which is not too bad; better than my first two years). The
entire meet took about 12 hours, but there was only a small time
between each school.

Unfortunately, after fencing the first 6, we had a long (90 minute)
"break" where nothing happened. It was at this point where my
caffeine and adrenaline shut off. Of the last 7 total bouts, I lost
3. The meet was about 2 hours too long.

I will be attending the Midwest Conference Championships on March 3rd
and 4th at Notre Dame. A few weeks after that, I will be back home
for a while. Hope you all are going to competitions and bringing back
medals. Good luck.

~Eric
