MUFG, Z, SJ,

This is a quote that I pulled off of the fencing.net discussion board
link below found in the CFML forward. I have edited parts for length.

Santelli has not 'shut down' as erroneously alleged by the uninformed.
Exactly as stated, orders temporarily cannot be taken. There is a
dispute with the landlord that has caused an unexpected, capricious
disruption of operations. The landlord also, apparently without proper
legal authority, has shut off the phones.

As soon as any accurate information is known about the matter, it will
be posted.
<snip>
One can definitely contact Santelli via U.S. Mails, which are not
delivered to the building but picked up by Santelli staff. Given the
current situation, it is suggested this may be the best way to contact
them. Because of lack of access to business records, etc., answers about
orders placed, shipments, etc., cannot be handled, per the owners.
<snip>.
The owners' express their sincerest regrets about the inconvenience this
has caused to many. They ask forbearance while matters get sorted out.

I am posting this at the owners' request and am only a messenger. Any
replies to this or further queries about the matter directed to me will
be ignored as I have no 'standing' in the matter and I am not an
employee of the company.
<snip>
Sorry to have to inform of the above, but that's how things stand at
this time.

Hi fencers,

FYI....

From the traffic on another list, it appears that the venerable
equipment supplier Santelli has gone out of business.

Long-time customers are reporting that Santelli is not answering e-mails
and that the phone is disconnected. Their web site appears to have been
taken offline by the ISP, and the cached page on Google (from October
28, 2004) says:

*Due to an emergency, *Santelli* is temporarily unable to take your
orders.*

Recently submitted orders will be delayed and may be partially filled or
can be cancelled. For details on your order please email
gsantelli@... <mailto:gsantelli@...>.

Too bad. They were the only people left that I know of to sell jackets
with buttons....

I really don't know anything about it, and I'm disappointed to hear this as I
loved their jackets (not to mention it's Santelli). Though hardly an official
word, this following message board thread offers some interesting details into
the situation:
