I competed in the U and C foil events at St. John's College, in
Annapolis, Maryland. U foil had a record 42 entries, organized in six
pools of 7 fencers. Only the top 5 from each pool moved on to the DE.
Went 3-3 in my pool; half of my bouts ended with a one-touch margin.
I won two bouts 5-4, and lost one bout 4-5. Had the pleasure of
beating an opponent who had beaten me in the DE about 2 months ago at
CFC. I think he won the silver medal yesterday. Lost my DE by a
score of 9-15, ending up about in the middle of the competition.

In the C foil (total of 30), I went 1-4, beating the only person in my
pool to beat Ludke in my pool. Lost 6-15 to Ed Sade in the DE.
