MUFG, this date is one week advanced from the one that I reported. If
you have a chance to see the Cherry Blossom it is worth while. This is a
very high caliber event.

32nd Annual Cherry Blossom Open - March 29-30, 2003

The 32nd Annual Cherry Blossom Open will be held on Saturday, March 29
and Sunday, March 30. This is the final event of the Chesapeake
Challenge Circuit (current point standings). Entry fee for the first
event is $25.00. $15.00 entry fee for each additional event. All events
are mixed. There are no separate women's events.

On Saturday, March 29,
Open Mixed Sabre will close registration at 10:00am.
Open Mixed Foil will close registration at 11:00am.

On Sunday, March 30,
Open Mixed Epee will close registration at 10:00am.

The Cherry Blossom Open is being held in the Health and Human
Performance Building on the campus of the University of
Maryland-College Park. Free parking is going to be in the parking garage
for the new Comcast Center. There will be signs directing folks from the
parking garage to the HHP building.

To get to the Comcast Center parking garage:

From Baltimore (and north): I-95 south to exit 25B, College
Park/U.S. Route 1 South. After approximately one mile, take a
right-hand exit off of U.S. 1 and onto Route 193 West. On the
second traffic light (Stadium Drive) make a U turn. Take your
first right onto Terrapin Trail. Follow this into the parking
garage and park. Cross the pedestrian bridge, and enter the
building on your left. The entrance under the pedestrian walkway will be
open and there will be signs directing to the competition site. A full

The entrance to the building is next to Lot SS1. (We are not allowed to
park there.)
