We don't have the resources that school-supported, and especially private school, programs have to pay coaches, but I'd like to ask Wash-Lee and anyone else to elaborate on their answers. What time period do those amounts cover? What tasks are included besides on-water time (ie pulling trailer, regatta registration, recruitment/scholarships, etc)?
The Annapolis Rowing Club pays its junior coaches by the day: $60 for head coach, $55 and $50 for two assistant coaches; $100 per regatta day. These are for coaches with no experience and practice is about 2.5 hours per day, 5 days/week. They aren't required to pull the trailer but do register us for regattas. We want the best we can afford for our program, and would like to move from a 'daily' rate to at least a seasonal rate that encompasses a broader range of commitment and tasks.
THanks!

Subject: High School Rowing coaches salaries
I have been asked by my school AD here in New Hampshire to get a sense of
what equivalent high schools pay their rowing coaches. We are a private day
school in New Hampshire with a rowing program that is a varsity sport that
fulfills the schools athletic participation requirement. The AD is interested in
what Head Coaches as well as assistant coaches make. If anyone has any info
please let me know. Thanks

In the Washington DC area it varries. It can be from $3,500 to 9,000 for a
head coach(I've heard of higher) and and between $2,500 to 7,500 for
assistants.
