USRowing is offering a Level II / Continuing Education program September 5-7 at the ARCO Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calf.  This is a great opportunity for newer coaches to get their level II and for more experienced coaches to learn from national and international level coaches.
The featured speaker is Tim Mclaren, he is a successful Australian coach currently coaching at the Olympics with US athletes he coached at the California Rowing Club based in Oakland. Also scheduled to speak is Dave O'Neal, head coach of the University of California Women's Crew. In addition to Dave and Tim, there will be speakers from the Training Center Staff focusing on physiology and strength training.
Continuing Education and Level II Coaching Clinic
Location: ARCO Olympic Training Center, Chula Vista, Calf. (near San Diego)
When: Sept. 5-7.  
Program starts Friday afternoon (plan to be at ARCO before 4pm on Friday.  Program ends around noon on Sunday. Cost: $150 Room and board are free at the training center.  Transportation from the San Diego Airport is also provided. We are also planning a Level I program and possible motor boating safety program at the Newport Aquatic Center.  We will be posting that information as soon as we have dates confirmed.
