RE: [youthrowing] Wintech 16' wakeless vs. Still Water 18' Solo

Derek - and anyoone else interested - I have a 16' WinTech.  It is wakeless.  That's the good news.  The not so good news is that it is difficult to get one of the pontoon's bow close enough to a rowing shell to effect a change of rowers.  Typically the rower who is getting out of the shell will step on the bow closer to his seat and the rower's weight will sink the bow enough that he will get his feet and ankles wet.  To help counter this effect I have the rower who will be getting into the shell wait at the stern end of the opposite pontoon in order to keep the bow from sinking when the shell-exiting rower is getting onto the launch. The exiting rower trades places at the stern with the rower who is about to get into the shell.  That procedure minimizes, but does not completely eliminate, wet feet.

Additionally, the  WinTech with a 9.9 hp motor, coach, and two passengers, which is what is recommended, will not keep up with an good eight

Subject: [youthrowing] Wintech 16' wakeless vs. Still Water 18' Solo

Does anyone have any info they could share on the Still Water 18' Solo? We currently have one Wintech 16' Wakeless and really like it. We are going to move to purchase additional wakeless launches but wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with any other brands. The larger style wakeless are not an option for boathouse.
