Yes! Our oldest son is currently a rower at the University of
Washington, and inorder for coaches to contact him, we registered him
with NCAA in the spring of his junior year. That way, when coaches
could legally contact him in July between his junior and senior year,
he could legally talk to them.
Good luck with your son and his rowing career. Have you done
anything to get his name out in front of university coaches? We made
a point of always submitting erg scores on the USRowing website. Our
son also entered our Seattle indoor erging competition each winter.
Anything you can do to get his name out there is a good idea.
