There are 4-6 brand new 16’ Wintec for sell after Masters Nationals. I currently have 10 on site for use at Masters Nationals.. If you are interested contact USRowing for info. I have used other types before and have mixed reviews. Once we get the motors on these I will let you know more.

We have a 16' Wintec, which has proven to be quite popular with coaches. It is far mor maneuverable than the Stillwater solo -- an issue where we are.
We had one of the originals, and returned it, as it was unsuitable -- I got wet everytime I got in it and I am only just over 200 lbs. it also had no way to drain the pontoons if they leaked.
This one is much much better.
However I have a some reservations: I am not sure how many people you could load on it in a rescue situation -- I use it mostly for sculling with a few people. We are on the Charles, where we are never far from shore, or other coaches for that matter. It really only works with one extra passenger for normal use. I have never had it in rough water either, so I don't now how it would respond. While it is less expensive than the Stillwaters, it feels a bit flimsier construction -- though we have had no problems thus far. We got it this spring (late), and it gets used a lot.
It is quite wakeless.

Hey Chris,
Yah we are looking at the smaller one. The 16' is small enough but still
wakeless(or more wakeless then what we use right now). The larger wakeless
launches are too big for use on the upper Potomac.
What is your opinion on them? Do you like using it? Does it work well?
