Hi Leila,

it depends on the regatta. Most of the time, the rule is that you can
not turn 19 in the calendar year of the regatta, unless you are still
attending high school full time. So he would be fine under those rules.

My son is a 16 year old, high school graduate, rower. He started rowing as a sophmore three years ago. So now he is off to college. Does he loose his "youth"...

He will retain his youth or junior standing for some races and not for others. That is usually an age category until they are 18. Some races lump it ...
