Hey Heidi, thanks for stopping by, and sorry about your Internet... I'd probably die without it... ;) Maybe if someone besides me makes a post more people will post too... haha. I just miss how this board used to be, it was fun to talk about stuff with lots of people.

 

Team contest was an event at the World. In the show schedule there would be extra classes- Team Contest Barrels, Team Contest Horsemanship... etc. With our way we wouldn't have to add new classes, though.

For the equitation classes, I think the rule book is already changed to mandatory patterns for all eq classes at all shows, and it says you don't have to do rail work if you have both leads in the pattern (it's up to the judge.) I think at regionals, Classics, and the International we need to have both patterns and finalist rail work, though. I don't even remember what I typed about this before but I think the rule book is probably already what I was suggesting...

Well, this year the International was a bigger show (I think one of our biggest Internationals ever with 460 ponies) and there weren't really any problems with the show running late. I think the latest day last year was Wednesday, because they did reining in the main arena (In STL they did reining at the same time as girls Horsemanship- which was the reason they didn't do them at the same time last year) so Wednesday was much earlier this year. One day we were even done with the daytime classes at 4:00.
