I think it is a sad thing that we will talk about hockey and "hat tricks" (yes I know what it is, three goals AND an assist in a game) but no one really talks about the state of Mavs nation any more.  Have we all become so apathetic to our team?  Places are closing their doors down in Victory Park and, not to take blame away from the current economy, I think some of that is at the feet of Tom Hicks and Mark Cuban.  Neither of their teams are generating a product that people are willing to spend their limited discretionary funds the way they used to.  I am NOT blaming the players (okay maybe Kidd) or even the coaches.  Hicks always has a mess on the ice and on the diamond.  I think Cuban has "jumped the shark" and has landed in Jerry Jones land (minus the rings)...  You pay a coach, let him coach.
