RE: Your Dallas Mavericks Josh Howard

Yeah, apologies always mean a little more when they come from the offender,
rather than a surrogate. This guy's act is really wearing thin with me.

Chuck

Did anyone here go to Mark Cuban's blog at www.blogmaverick.com today?
In today's entry, Cuban apologizes for Howard's actions and behavior.
Cuban also gives a sampling of some of the e-mails that Cuban has
received during this situation.

IMO, it would mean more if Josh Howard apologized for his actions and
behavior than if Mark Cuban does it. After all, Howard is in his late
20s. He's not a kid any more.

GO MAVS!!!

the league with so much to prove and the first few years were
fantastic, but now it's like he wants everything to be proven to HIM
now. Prove to HIM why he SHOULDN'T talk sh*t on camera, prove to HIM
why he SHOULDN'T come out about smoking pot. "I own the world" kind
of mentallity. These antics off the court have shown to be less than
controlled and it makes me wonder about his ability to control
himself in the locker room and ultimately on-court. I know most of
these 'stars' (any sport) have ego's much larger than their brains,
but it really does end up looking bad when someone can't understand
that ANY act on camera can, and probably will end up in the hands of
the public.
>
> Maybe even more than that; I am concerned that Cuban apparently
thinks he can just handle this situation with Howard on his own,
'during camp'. Again, much like the DADDY figure that has had me
concerned about Cuban for a few years now. That could be a reason why
this kind of bad PR stuff happens in the first place. Cleaning up
after the fact isn't leadership, and leadership starts from the top.
Cuban should know that. I certainly hope this team has it's head on
straight, because getting anywhere this season is not going to happen
just by showing up.

way about America. I love my country-- best country in the world-- and
I get upset when people diss it, especially fellow Americans. But
because this IS a wonderful country, he can say what he wants. That
video was not meant to be seen by the public. I dount he meant to diss
Obama.... And if he did, more power to him.
