Hello Everyone:
Tsuneo Ando Sensei's long awaited return to Canada has arrived. He is returning
for a series of seminars and demonstration in Ontario. Ando Sensei will be
teaching in Windsor (Seikokan Dojo - contact Mark Lemmon) June 25; London
(Aikido London - contact Ashley Hennessy) June 26; and Barrie (Aikido Hiryukan -
contact Stephen Ohlman) June 27-28. Please contact the respective dojos for more
details regarding space availability. Aikido Hiryukan will host Ando Sensei on
June 27-28 for a series of 5 classes, and a demonstration not to be missed.
Classes will be held at Georgian College in Barrie and College Residence are
available at reasonable rates.
It is truly rare to see let alone train under such a respected aikido master.
Ando Sensei is sought after worldwide for his teaching. About 4 times a year he
leaves his dojos of some 800 students (and growing) in Japan, to share his
knowledge, skill and wisdom with those who may not otherwise get the chance.
This is Ando Sensei's first trip to Canada since being appointed to the position
of Shuseki Shihan (Technical Director of the Yoshinkan). Everyone interested in
developing their aikido technical skills should not miss this great opportunity.
Ando Sensei's ability to teach aikido in simple yet inspiring terms is matched
only by his power to motivate and the contagious enthusiasm he has for the
perfection of his art. His demonstration of technique embodies the dynamic power
of aikido, once seen from the late Gozo Shioda Sensei.
This is a must attend event for any serious Yoshinkan Aikido practitioner!
