Jack,

Sounds like we are similar riders.  I need to get in some serious riding time
over the next weeks before the Adventure Race at Codorus in August.  If you or
any others are interested in riding Hashawha on a Wed. or Thurs. night starting
next week, email me and we'll coordinate something.  I haven't been on the
trails in at least a month or so, so I'm not sure how overgrown they are now w/
poison ivy and thorny bushes.  But, your tick chances are less than Codorus.  If
any fast riders want to join, perhaps we can form 2 groups. I do have maps for
some of the trails.

I'm a big fan of Loch Raven too.  I can't ride this week, but hope to set up a
few social rides there in the next few weeks as well.

Kim

Hashawa is ony about 10 miles or so down the road from Codorus and many more
miles of trail.  Great place for SS riding.  Also, I have said it before, and
will continue saying it....Patapsco is by far the best place to ride within ann
hour's drive!!  I have never been to Loch Raven but I hear those trails are good
there as well  Go for Hashawa first as it is relatively close.

Tim

Subject: YAMBA Suggestions

As a newbie to riding in the area and the YAMBA, I was looking for any riding
suggestions anyone may have to offer.  So far I've ridden at Rocky Ridge, Lake
Redman, Gambrill and Codorus.  I like a little from each of them, but sad to say
Codorus is my favorite.  This is my first year on a single speed and Codorus's
trails are nice packed dirt with minimal rocks and manageable inclines.  The
downfall though is the trails are extremely short and I can't leave there with
no less than two ticks on me somewhere.  Are there any other locations with
terrain similar to Codorus? I'd like to try to train myself to be able to climb
and rider more efficient at the other locations.

Thorns are the reason I'm headed to Loch Raven. I'm sick of the damned things at redman and susquehanna. Although, I think we've carried most of them out...
