Hey guys,
I hope everyone is out riding. I have a question for you guy's. I know sram in
inner changeable with shimano but will I notice a difference in shifting etc..
I'm thinking of going to a 11-28 as I plan on doing a mountain ride in the near
future. In looking what shimano offers in 10 spd is 11-27. I do realize I can
put a mountain bike xtr on it and use even bigger gears I just hope to avoid
that if possible. Let me know.

Any STP riders out there? If so are you planning to do it in 1 or 2 days?
Happy trails all
Gene

I used a sram 11 28 on a recent mountain trip. I had to add a link to my chain.
Other than that it worked fine

Hi Gene and group,

I'll be riding STP with my Y-foil.  As long as it survives shipping from Florida
(you've never seen so much bubble wrap and foam in a hard case), I'll be doing
the 1-day.  Are you riding?  I've yet to see another Y-foil in any of the tri's
or long rides I've competed in, so it would be cool to see another Y (or two or
three) doing STP.

Seattle to Portland (204 miles).  10,000 riders, of which about 2,000 or so do
it in 1 day.  It's a great ride with lots of support.

Hey Aaron,
I too will be out there early in the morning pedaling away. I also plan on a 1
day ride. Sadly this will be the first year in 5 years that I won't be on a y
foil, as I came across a great deal on a 2009 trek madone and couldn't resist.
I'm not in the position to justify/afford to nice bikes so for now the y foil
had to go. Let me know what color y foil you'll be on and I'll be on the look
out for you. Take care and have a great and safe ride this Sat.

Gene,

Sorry to hear you won't be on the Y, but glad to hear you're doing the 1-day.
I'm on a blue Y-foil set up for Triathlon (aero bars and bottle on the front,
carbon aero seat post and dual bottles behind the seat, and black shimano
wheels). I'll be wearing an RND Automation & Engineering jersey (white, red and
black) and I'll be in company with a Kestrel KM40 and a Tandem.  Hope to see you
there.
