Re: [yfoil] Parts questions

There's a lot of info on the web about crank length. I read a lot of
it and changed from 172.5 mm to 170 mm cranks on my y-foil and found
it easier to mantain a 100 rpm cadence for a longer period. I wear
pants with an inseam of 31 (trousers with an inside leg of 31 for the
Brits) ... Which is 33 when checking for crank length as you measure
to the ground ... I thought it strange that Lance would have an
inseam of 33 and he is only 5' 10" and I'm 5' 11" and that's why. My
TT bike had 175 cranks and when I switched to 170 I averaged 5 more
rpm over the same routes. They say it's all about femur length and not
inseam so if you really want to be comfortable, find a good bike shop
and have a fitting.
