Everyone:
As long as we are talking about the infamous Y-Foil cracks, I noticed about
half-way through my normal Saturday 40 - 60 miler that my "barely noticable"
gold Y-Foil crack was oozing a yellowish, fairly viscous goo. I wiped it off
and it felt a little oily, and once I cleaned it up, the oozing stopped. I had
not cleaned my bike for a couple of weeks, so after the ride I thoroughly washed
her up and noticed nothing different about the hairline crack that's been there
for years. Also, I checked for any moisture in the frame/BB area, and I found
no obvious water anywhere.
Not sure what the heck was oozing...my LBS changed out my crank to a new
Dura-Ace, which looks stunning with the Y, but this was done about a year ago,
and nothing oozed until now. Anyone else seen anything coming out of the crack
on their Y's?

That's great news. Trek was using Madone frames as
replacements for Ys.
