hola all!!! last week, i was getting set to go out for a group ride,
bought some new tires for my ride (hutchinson fusion comps)...mixed
up some accelerade and tossed it in the fridge...went out to change
out the old tires for new, and started doing some "dust busting" and
then, what the hell?!? a 5-7 inch crack starting from the seat beam
to the downtube. my big butt cracked an oclv carbon frame!!!
daaaammiiiit!!!
well, i took my ride to the local trek superstore, told them my sob
story, and they took my y-foil in to take a looksie and some pics to
send to trek with the promise to get an answer to me today. so all
weekend long,i was dreading to hear the news that i won't be a y-foil
rider anymore and that i will be riding some aluminum frame or
something.
today came and i gave them a call to see what the deelio was...and
here it is: 1) i get to get an exact frame (yes a y-foil frame!!!),
2) the frame isnt painted, so i also get to pick out my color of
choice (discovery-trek blue), and i get it about 2-3 weeks. oh trek
is great!!!
haha! as a side note, you shoulda seen the trek shop people when i
took the bike in. some of them must not had ever seen a y-foil
before coz they were totally tripping out on the design.
