i think you're describing the slide & needle. The stock carb is vacuum
operated and there's a rubber diaphragm on the top that moves the slide
to let air & fuel through. Maybe you put it together wrong and there's
no vacuum signal to lift the slide. The service manual in the Files
section has some good pictures & info on the carb.

Recap, float stuck, fixed float, also took top of carb off like an

barely idles and stalls when step on gas. But if i reach inside
intake of carb and push up on the rubber(choke)that encompasses the

Try Eric @www.bajasports.net. I am not sure if he is Eric with a K or a C. He
is the guy in charge of the Yerf Dog parts that were bought back from Pep Boys
and what he has got is what he has got. By the way, easier to talk with him @
888-863-252. Good Luck! and yes, Yerf Dog is gone....DT

I was wondering if anyone out there knew where to get parts? I cannot get
through to the Yerfdog co. via web or phone. I heard they were bought out by
Baja Motors? It is really frustrating to have such a neat machine and no place
to get parts. Thanks!

I had 2 engines do the exact same thing, and they BLEW white smoke,
and just all of a sudden. No warning. It would run the engine dry of
oil if you would let it.
On the lighter side, I didn't have any bugs in the yard when the
kids rode it. It was under warranty both times, Yerf replaced the
engine twice.
There was no mistaking the smell of oil.

Hey Guy48065,

The Buggy Bash was awesome!!!

I am still have withdrawals- It needs to be a 4 day deal!!! Don't you agree

I brought my HH250 SS, a YD GX150 (which by the way made the grade on the
400 hill- there was about 8-10 karts at the bottom(blister, jabo, kurtsty,
blade girl, and a few others and they were ALL having trouble making this
hill actually only 1 kart made it until the Yerf-Dog zipped right up there.
I guess the lighter frame weight and getting the gear set-up really got
attention from the other folks. They said was that the YERF!!!!

Did anybody here attend the big buggy rally in Kentucky this weekend?
It was a BLAST! Miles of tough trails and plenty of mud at Paddy's
Bluff in Dycusburg. I posted a group shot in my album. Sometimes I
feel a little obsessed with my involvement in these "toys" so it was
terrific to be among 100 or so other obsessed guys beating the snot
out of their buggys for 3 days.
I met so many great people and learned and saw so much. If another
such event comes along try like hell to attend--you won't regret it.

I assumed you meant blue smoke. White smoke & carbon buildup sounds
like you're too rich. Maybe your choke is stuck ON. The service
manual (Files section) describes how to remove it & test.

last weekend she bent my right front spindle. As it was her birthday

Purchased 3206 in December 2003 Serial #96917. Have less than 25 hours on kart.
One oil change. New spindles and A-arms ready to bolt on. Only mod was extra
roll bar padding from Summit. Ran fine last time kids rode it, but sat up for
about a year and it will not crank now. It has always been garaged. The boys
don't like working on the kart with me and if I am working by myself I'd rather
be wrenching on my Vette.

Just bought 2 horses for the boys so the kart needs to go. Advertised locally
for $500. Would consider trades involving horse tack in good shape. Located in
Taft, TN 38488 which is just north of Huntsville, AL.

Ya'll know more about these karts than I do. Send me an email if your
interested.

Keith

I had an issue and took my carb off and cleaned 5 times still had issues ended
up that my valves were way tight. As soon as i adjusted them it ran great. Might
not have anything to do with your issue but worth a shot if yours have not been
adjusted........Jerry

float stuck, took apart fixed stuck float, adjusted float to be
parallell with base of carb. (somebody had pictures) cleaned carb jets
and all with gum out, soaked in gumout, sprayed with gumout. New plug,
new fuel filter, no air cleaner, barely starts, does not hold idle and
sputters when stepping on gas. I have had this carb on and off 100
times now. Please somebody save me!!!!!

OK before you buy a new carb check your intake manifold for any rips or holes
because even the smallest hole will result in a vaccum leak thats what happend
to mine, it happens when the intake gets oil on it and it gets soft and rips
when you move the carb around. I fixed mine by sealing it with 100% pure
silicone and now it is still going strong.
