The lights run off AC voltage directly from the stator. You would need
to run power from the battery. The down side of this is that the
charging circuit will not keep up with the drain of the radio on the
battery. If your battery drops too low, you will not be able to start
your buggy.

Your best setup is to add a second battery for the radio and recharge
it manually when you return home.
