TERRY SKIVERTON TESTIMONIAL: It will be a day of legends
8:02am Friday 3rd July 2009

By Steve Sowden

CHELSEA and England defender John Terry will be at Yeovil Town tomorrow
(Saturday, July 4) to appear in a testimonial match for Glovers'
player-manager Terry Skiverton.

Skiverton's testimonial committee has released the names of players who
will be taking part in the friendly match at Huish Park to commemorate
the Yeovil boss' decade with the Glovers.

The Yeovil Town X1 v Terry Skiverton Select X1 friendly kicks-off at 3pm
and organisers are hoping as many fans as possible will attend to show
their appreciation to Skivo.

Among the names are a long line of players well-known to Yeovil fans:
Chris Weale, Steve Collis, Tony Pennock, Adam Lockwood, Abdou El-Khoti,
Gavin Williams, Lee Johnson, Ben Smith, Michael McIndoe, Kirk Jackson,
Warren Patmore, Nick Crittenden, Roy O'Brien, Tom White, Andy
Lindegaard, Colin Miles, Scott Guyett, Carl Alford, Kevin Gall, Marcus
Stewart, Paul Terry, Adam Stansfield, Chris Cohen, Arron Davies, Phil
Jevons and Andy Wallace.

Many of these played during Yeovil’s golden years of FA Trophy,
Nationwide Conference and League Two glory — some of whom are regarded
among fans as real Glovers’ legends.

The Yeovil Town X1 will be managed by Gary Johnson and the Select X1 by
Colin Lippiatt — two popular ex-Yeovil bosses.

One of the big favourites to return to Huish Park for the day is striker
Warren Patmore — who is the club’s third all-time highest goalscorer.

Patmore has recently been hitting the Somerset headlines after last week
being named as manager of Toolstation Western League Premier Division
outfit Wellington.

Saturday is expected to be a great day for the fans and for Skiverton as
the memories of his ten years at Huish Park will come flooding back.

Other names from the world of football such as Mike Milligan, Dennis
Wise, Lee Trundle, Keith O'Neill, Muzzy Izzet, Dave Lee, Gus Poyet, Tore
Andre Flo and John Terry have also been named.

They will be joined from Tubes of Soccer AM fame and Radio One DJ Mark
Chapman.
