Not entirely sure of the relevance of the Exeter bit at the bottom on
this story, but I prefer to post these things in their entirety...

WALKER BOOSTS GLOVERS' PROSPECTS
STUART JAMES
11:00 - 07 January 2008
Yeovil Town's prospects for the new year have been boosted by the news
that Charlton Athletic striker James Walker has returned to Huish Park.
Manager Russell Slade has extended the 20-year-old's stay in Somerset
until January 20, the maximum amount of time allowed under the Football
League's short- term loan rules. He may yet stay with the Glovers for
longer, if Slade can reach agreement with the Coca-Cola Championship
club over a long-term loan deal for the talented striker.
Although he has managed only two goals in 12 appearances for Yeovil,
Walker has impressed many with his work-rate and Slade is delighted to
have him for at least the Glovers' next three League One matches. "James
has done really well for us in recent games and I'm delighted he's
staying a bit longer," Slade said.
Whether Walker extends his stay depends on whether Charlton add to their
playing squad during the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, the Glovers' boss has dismissed speculation linking
goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall with a move away from the club.
The giant 29-year-old has been in excellent form for Yeovil again this
season, with a string of commanding performances, and it is believed
that Championship clubs have been watching him closely. That, though,
has been dismissed by Slade, who said: "I don't know where these things
come from. I haven't had any calls about Mildy."
Meanwhile, Slade has challenged goalkeeper Darren Behcet and winger
Ishmael Welsh to prove themselves and earn new deals at Huish Park.
Both players are out of contract in the summer and have just returned to
the club after loan spells with Dorchester Town and Torquay United
respectively.
"I want to see how they have developed and improved during their time
away from us," said Slade. "They've got an opportunity to prove they
should be in my plans."
EXETER City have rearranged their home clash with Stevenage Borough for
a second time.
The game was rescheduled back in December, after the Grecians beat their
Blue Square Premier rivals 4-0 in the FA Cup first round, which earned
them a second-round trip to Bury.
That game was played on the day that City were scheduled to play Peter
Taylor's side in the league, and so the game was rearranged for Tuesday,
January 22.
However, that has now been moved to Tuesday, March 11, as the Grecians'
home clash with Oxford United has been moved to Sunday, January 19, as
it is now being screened live by Setanta Sports.
The Grecians' St Luke's Devon Challenge Bowl clash with Bideford has
been switched to Tuesday, January 22. However, this game is subject to
the Robins not being involved in an FA Vase replay.
