Actually, the indian culture is older than the chinese one and all
advanced fighting arts come from the vedas (hindu scriptures). Then
many chinese were in India to study in the universities there and
took advanced knowledge back with them and then added that to the
indigenous chinese forms of warfare. This does however not de-value
chinese arts at all, its just a historical thing:)
The chinese arts are unique as they developped to suit the chinese
environment and culture etc.
