The rate in yaw yan pasay is P5,500 to become a life time member,
but this could change anytime. becoming a lifetime member will anable
you to train in any other philippine yaw yan gym, and you will no
longer be required to pay any monthly dues. the gym is open
practicaly every day. I would suggest that you talk to the gyms
director Prof Saladin personaly. I joined yaw yan pasay just last
month. My training sched is every morning of tue, thru. and sat. I
hope I have been able to extend some helpful information.

The Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) is several thousand years old,
though, have only become popularized in the last few decades. They
are usually known as Kali, Escrima, and Arnis (de Mano). The
various styles are as diverse as the 7,000 islands that make up the
Philippine Archipelago. They are a very comprehensive system that
contain up to 12 categories of weaponry. In general, the first
training method/weapon is the stick. Any technique done with a
stick can be done with an empty hand, knife or any other weapon.
Thus, it is a very practical and interchangeable martial art,
viewing any weapon as just the extension of the hand. This method
will be demonstrated as well have some audience precipitation.

I was looking over and over the Web about Yaw-Yan and finally found
it. I was a student when I was 7 years old and ended my training at
the age of 9 because my parents moved here in Florida. I still
practice the basic forms but I somehow need more input from other
students. The internet can somehow give some new forms and
techniques. The site is my first step to learn more and my heritage
starts all over again. Thank you.

Wanlu,

I've met cobra after the fight and he's OK. If I'm not
mistaken, Cobra is a Muay Thai under sir Valdez, so I
consider this as a fight between two yaw-yan.
