Greetings Yaw-Yan Brother`s and Sister`s
I have been reading lately on this page about comments on the Fighting
Challenge 3 from a Person named Henkell. And now other`s are making observations
according to his comments. I have let it go because i`am not a person who gets
into e-mail battles, but it has come to a point that i guess i have heard
enough and i need to set the record straight. When it come`s to the Safety of
the fighters that is our number one concern. We have Doctor`s and a Ambulance at
the event. The Rules are gone over at the weight in and also during a meeting
with the fighters before the fights start..
We have started the Fighting Challenge at the Yaw-Yan ArDigma Gym to give
Fighters a chance to gain more experience and show there skills, and at the
same time to spread the word of Yaw-Yan..
When it comes the way the fighters were matched for that event, all
fighter`s were weighted in and matched according to weight not age..You spoke
of the first 3 matches in your mails..The first fight was a close match until
the 3rd round when Joseph of Yaw Yan ran out of gas and the decision went to
Dave Balikano of MMAF Gym.
I have the 2nd fight on tape the match was even and the action was getting
pushed by Billy of Yaw Yan until he got hit with a (illegal) knee so he was
given time to recover he wasn't on the laying on the ground as you mentioned he
was sitting in the chair in the corner..it`s the same as a fighter who gets hit
below the belt they also get time to recover from a (illegal blow)...He was not
being pushed to continue by his Corner for money or Prize !!!!!!!!! If you
know Master Nap he treats his Fighters like his Sons and the last thing he
would do is to push the fighter to fight if he was not able to continue..Or was
the Referee asking the judges what to do,.He was making sure that they were all
informed about what happened. And the fight was stopped by the
Corner!!!!!!!!!... For the 3rd Match of the night went to a 3 round split
Decision?,So i not sure how you can talk down about this event? The Fighting
Challenge is a step in the right direction for Yaw-Yan and for the
Marital Arts Movement in the Philippines,Do you prefer the fighters to fight
on the street or in underground fights with no Doctor`s and no rules? I know
it`s easy make comments and say that`s just my opinion, but before you do please
do your research first.AND THATS ALL I GOT TO SAY ABOUT THAT..

Bon-I understand if you can't accept my submission to fact and to un-
fact based on my own viable observation. maybe we are different in
definition and notion to a certain situation or thing or maybe such
thing is inherent in your art but I can't simply accept it. I don't
know so far…but what I had seen/heard is what I had seen and heard,
to deny it or to accept it has nothing to do with what happened in
the past, and it cant anymore be altered either way, were just simply
discussing it. but please bear in mind that this is not about
condemnation or denigration of anyone nor of your organization
whatsoever, for I don't like that thing to happen to me in reverse as
well. I just raised this topic just to express my modicum of
displeasured to what I'd watched that night, I am sorry if I was so
affected by that event(na di naman dapat) and didn't control myself
to comment on that.
I hope you don't mind this but if I may add lang. Just to my
understanding to any fight situation inside the ring, once a fighter
got top on the mat or wherever possible he could top, it's a clear
evince act of surrender does it? When your fighter did hits by a
solid kick at the left side rib by his opponent he was shouted aloud
in pain (such as AHHHHHHH) I claimed majority heard that,,, honest,,,
after that he lied down and dislike to raise up despite of any
effort of encouragement from people around him. On such expression
does this sort of act cannot be equated as a clear TOP on the mat or
considered surrender? And for heaven sake why the referee didn't
count to the lying fighter, instead he wait/see and eventually he let
the judges decide if the fight will be stop or continued
tsk..tsk..tsk. wow, is that the role of a referee?…promise, i do not
fabricate this story, that is the exact scenario that night.( ohh my
gulayy).
Anyway Bob thanks for your time answering my queries and comments I
really did appreciate it to be honest.
