Visas and Foreign Students   Message List

Hello all

I heard recently that a few foreigners have expressed interest to
travel to Philippines to study Yaw-Yan. One of the difficulties for a
foreigner is getting a long term visa. Under my current visa
arrangement I have to leave the country every 60-90 days - an
inconvenience and expense I would prefer to avoid.

One possible solution is a student visa. I could submit a visa
request, endorsed by Yaw-Yan to Secretary of Education, Culture and
Sports or if you think that is not going to work maybe I could work
through the College of Criminology with Dean Costuna's support.

I need to contact the DFA and the Secretary of Education, Culture and
Sports to get some more information as well but I would first like to
gauge Yaw-Yan response to this. Is this worth pursuing and will
Yaw-Yan community be able to support people like myself who want to
use the school to secure easier access to the Philippines?

Regards
Andrew Barnham
