Re: [YawYan Philippine Martial Art] is it true?! YAW YAN out-of-date??

greetings sir!

good news - Sir Zapata is still in great condition. of course, not as much as
compared to when he was at his prime. age would play a huge factor if ever he'd
compete - but of course, given the right conditions, timing, and settings, he's
fit to fight.

also, believe it or not, yao-yan, or the so called old yaw-yan has
groundfighting techniques. let's not foget that the old yaw-yans started out NHB
scene here in the philippines because of the biased point sparring/tournament
system present in those days. sadly, these groundfighting techniques slowly
faded due to the increasing popularity of kickboxing back then.

yaw-yan is not obsolete, it is continuously evolving. this accounts for the
developments of ardigma, sibukan, bringing back the old groundfighting
techniques, etc.

how come we're still winning MMA matches???? how come there are still more and
more people getting interested in the art??? it's just because BJJ is in trend
now - and indeed, BJJ has played a big part in the evolution of martial arts. it
opened the eyes and perception of MA practitioners worldwide - to improve and
evolve their art.

it all in the martial arts cycle my dear friends. there's a right time, the
right phase, and the right timing for each division of martial arts.. but in
essence, it is great. it encourages everyone to further improve their art.

best regards,
bon bautista

Can Emiliano Zapata d' pride of YAW-YAN still fight in an Mixed Martial Arts
Tournament against a BJJ practioner?! how will Zapata fare against a grapler
with a cross training in striking technique?? If Mixed Martials Arts are
existence during the time of Zapata, will he still be undeafeated?!
There's no question about the stirking capabilities of YAW-YAN. why??? 40
basic kicks on his arsenal but what about ground fighting?? do YAW-YAN need to
cross training in BJJ, Combat Judo & Freestyle Wrestling to be effective in
Mixed Martial Arts?? is YAW-YAN obsolete now??? BJJ is the trend in Martial Art
now, does it make YAW-YAN out dated?! Please reply my query. Thanks in advance.
