Next Practice Thursday in Forest Park   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #75 of 565 |
Hey Guys,

For those of you who made it to practice today, thanks for coming.
Fortunately we were able to get some tennis in, despite the big crowd
and before it started to rain. For those of you who couldn't make it,
i'll try to summarize what's important.

Basically we are going to be splitting up club tennis into social and
competitive sides. The competitive side is for intermediate/advanced
players who are interested in playing in matches against other
schools, and who can come to at least two practices a week. The social
side is for any skill level who just wants to come and hit for fun. We
now have 4 practice times a week with 8 reserved courts. Monday and
Thursday 6-8pm in Forest Park (directions below) are practice times
meant for the competitive side, and Sunday 12-2pm and Tuesday 6-8pm on
the Varsity courts are meant for the social side. However, anyone can
go to any of the practices.

So our next practice is this Thursday in Forest Park from 6-8pm, and
it is meant for the competitive side of the club. Please remember to
bring your $20 dues if you havent already done so.

Also, we will not be having practice this Sunday on campus because
Wash U is hosting a the tennis tournament.

Try to find a ride, but if you can't, just take the Gold shuttle from
Mallinckrodt and get off at the Forest Park Metrolink stop. The
courts are behind the history museum. Also, you can walk or ride your
bike down Forsyth, cross Skinker and follow the curvy road through the
golf course until you see the tennis courts on the right (there will
be signs in some spots, too). It's not too bad of a bad walk, maybe
20 minutes from the 40. Sorry for the inconvenience, we will be
working on getting a ride system set up in the next couple weeks.
