Hey guys,
Recently SCF (Sports Club Federation - it's a group that represents all of
Wash U's club sports) decided to support a block funding proposal brought
up by a student here named Frank Beling. Basically the proposal is to make
gym access in the AC free for all students and eventually to improve the
equipment there. The idea of a block funding proposal is to put it on the
ballot for students to vote on where their Studen Union money goes each
year. This proposal does NOT mean you'd have to pay more money, it would
just mean that some of the money you are already paying in tuition to SU
will go to this cause.
It's up to you whether or not you support the proposal, but Frank asks
that you fill out the survey below to help figure out what students are
most satisfied/disatisfied with in terms of Wash U athletic facilities so
that the proposal reflects what students want.
Thanks, and good luck on the rest of your exams! Hope to see you all on
the courts next semester.
Becky

Hello Sports Club Leaders,
I know this is a busy time for all of us, and I wish you all the best
of luck as we enter the finals period.
You probably received an E-mail last week with a link to a survey
concerning the fitness services at Wash U. This pertains to the Block
Funding Proposal that we discussed at our last SCF meeting, when all the
clubs voted to support the proposal.
A favorable result in this survey would greatly strengthen the cause.
I encourage you all to forward this link to your team, in case they havent
already filled out the survey. It is very short, and wont take you more
than a minute or two to complete.

Again, I wish you the best of luck in this finals period, and a happy and
safe holiday season.

Thanks,
Frank Beling
