Hey everyone,

We had a great time on our trip to Kansas City! Thanks for everyone who came. We beat Nebraska and lost to UMR in the team tennis match, but everyone had a great time playing, staying up late to watch the Australian Open and eating KC BBQ (Matt and Brian, could you please post pictures on the yahoo group).

Again, incase you have not had a chance, please sign up for the Indoor Practices Database on the Yahoo Group if you would like to participate in our Sunday 7-9pm Indoor Practices (http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/wuclubtennis/database?method=reportRows&tbl=3). We have two more indoor practices before sectionals.

Also, we are planning on scrimmaging the Wash U Women’s varsity team (in doubles matches) on Feb 15 and Feb 22. Those are Wednesday nights and I’ll send out more info as it becomes available.

Anyway, I am sending this email out relatively early because we need to know very soon who can come to the Sectional Tournament on Feb 18/19 in Iowa. We are planning on sending two teams. So that means a maximum of 20 people, but it will be more likely be around 8 guys and 8 girls. This is a full weekend of tennis where we will be playing against around five other schools, many of which will be entering two teams. We will likely be leaving Friday night and coming back late Sunday, so it will be a full weekend with a lot of great tennis. BTW we did win the tournament last year, but competition will be stiffer this year.

I need anyone that is interested and committed to coming to Sectionals REPLY to this email. Please reply ASAP yes/no/maybe and if maybe then decide by this weekend. Guys who are still trying out can still reply and we will determine who will be going after the tryouts
