Hey everyone,

If you didn’t notice It’s a little to cold for tennis outside right now. We will be getting indoor courts once a week in the beginning of spring semester. Sorry haven’t emailed you all sooner but we decided to wait to starting indoor practices next semester, since there is little time and everyone is busy with classes. BTW, next semester is going to be huge. We have tentative matches with SLU, Fontebonne, UMR + Nebraska, Varsity Women’s Team, and the Sectional and National Tournaments.

I have some important announcements:

1)       If you have any more receipts for travel matches please get them to Julian (mjfracht@...) ASAP. They are due Friday.

2)       The Sectional Tournament in Iowa is coming up on Feb 18,19. For now, please keep these dates open if you are interested in playing

3)       We will be having a meeting early next semester to discuss club tennis and importantly vote for new officers. If you want to get involved in club tennis you should seriously consider running for a position or at least come to the meeting.

4)       Social players who are interested in trying out for the competitive team next semester please email me so I can compile a list and decide how we will run tryouts for next semester. Also, competitive players not interested in playing next semester please email me as well.

It has also been brought to my attention that some people were not very happy with the ladder system during practices this semester. This supposed to be a fun experience while still being organized to play competitively. I would love to hear any more advice or suggestions about how practices and the ladder system are going and what can be done to make them better. We will seriously consider and implement helpful suggestions because we want this to be an enjoyable experience for everyone.
