- Although wrestling sites are posting headlines such as "THE ROCK IS
DEAD" he is not dead he has merely conducted an interview with Men's
Journal magazine stating that his wrestling persona (The Rock) is
dead. Link-baiting is such a horrid thing.

- This week's Raw did a rating of 3.3 which is up from last week's
episode which did a rating of 3.2.

Bad Times For The Hogans
-------------------------------------------------------
By Chris Holloiway [email: chris@...]

(The following was submitted last week but was only able to be
included today)

Nick Hogan just left the court room moments ago after the court
hearing regarding the car wreck that left John Graziano in critical
condition. Nick has been sentenced to eight months behind bars, plus
five years probation and his driver's license will be suspended for
another three years. Nick will also be required to complete 500 hours
community service, and won't be allowed to perform at public speaking
events. Nick was booked and taken to Pinellas County Jail at approx.
3:50 PM ET.

So it's now official the trial of a young Hogan is now over but was
there satisfaction seeing as how bad the passenger John Graziano was
injured?

Many will say no but yet Judges these days are not right in the head.
Times for the Hogan family sure has changed in the past years. Going
from a loving family with a hit VH1 reality show to crumbling in a
heap of divorce, musical career flop and now a son being sent to jail
for 8 months. Hulk Hogan had it all he had money, loving family great
legendary wrestling career to those of which cheered him during all
those years of competing will remember. In some fans' eyes Hulkamania
will not die but live on through each generation that comes to
discover it. But in reality Hulkamania for Hulk Hogan and family is
slowly but painfully dying.

Often a family in celebrity land is looked at as one to be like, one
that has everything. We see this and wish we were like them, cause
they seem so untouchable and nothing can hurt them and break them
apart. Then suddenly that family we worship starts to become just as
normal as any other family. they have problems and if nothing is done
soon those problems escalate to even bigger problems. The Hogan
family had everything! but something happened and now they are having
about as worse times than a normal non millionaire family would have.
Like the old saying says with great success comes an even greater
defeat and the Hogan family seems to be defeated within themselves.

Could there have been anything to stop this from happening, say Hulk
staying home more and making sure his family was doing better, could
he had have said those encouraging words of Train, say your prayers
and take your vitamins more to his own kids rather than our own? the
answer is no, cause money is a tool to blind, Hogan was blind by
money and no disrespect intended but it now seems as if that same
money we always criticize him of loving only is hurting him and
hurting him badly. His wife is cleaning him out so bad that Hulk is
having to endorse frozen foods at Wal Mart.

Brooke's CD's aren't selling well, and now Nick is being sent to
Jail. We all want to be rich and famous one day, but now it looks
like the one thing we don't want to be is like the Hogan family.
which is falling apart member by member and it's all getting worse,
yes Hulk Hogan did defend the little Hulksters against the forces of
evil but it seems that not even Hulk himself can get out of this
jam. Sad but true and while I am very critical of Hogan I have to
admit I feel bad for him.

It is indeed bad times for America, financially as gas prices are
going up, groceries are going up true it is bad for America in a
whole, but its probably even worse emotionally for one family that
being the Hogan family. So please remember that while you are having
bad times and see a rich family that has what you don't have remember
they may just be like you, that being NORMAL.

-------------------------------------------------------
My Raw Review
-------------------------------------------------------
By Chris Holloiway [email: chris@...]

We get highlights of Triple H and Kennedy vs. ECW from last week,
with Randy Orton hitting the RKO after the match.

We're live and the lights are out. Lights on and William Regal is in
the ring. Lillian Garcia is there and sings "God Save The Queen!" Ha,
I love it! Regal disapproves of the fans' disrespect. He's General
Manager and King and could have them thrown out if he wants. He's not
bluffing. He picks on a random couple and has them thrown out. Mickie
James is here and says it's her brother and his girlfriend. "Regal
sucks!" ??" Joe Lewis arena. Regal threatens to throw Mickie out too.
She pleads her case and he threatens to strip her… of her
championship.

John Cena is in the house! He sends Mickie to the back and gets a
mic. He's back and is usually ready to raise some hell but he wants
to talk to Regal man-to-man. He understands. He knows what it's like
to give your soul to these people and have them tell you "you suck".
Regal points out Vince endorsed him but Cena points out Vince is
insane and has "a bunch of sexual fantasies you can't even find on
the internet." Cena reads out complaints from fans. "This is WCW
Thunder bad." "I'm going to start a chant in every arena in the
country saying "Fire Regal clap clap clap, fire Regal clap clap
clap."" Glorious.

Regal says he won't turn out the lights tonight. He knows Cena wants
revenge on Randy Orton, so the main event is Orton vs. Cena. Regal
says if anyone gets involved in the match (like JBL) they will be
suspended. Regal hopes he's earned some respect.

Cena stops him leaving and says he's not done. Cena points out we're
in the USA tonight. Cena says even God cannot save Regal if he keeps
messing up. We're in the Motor City and you got realize where we're
at. Cena has Lillian sing "Respect" by Aretha Franklyn.

My Review: Nice opening segment although I hate the anybody
interferes will be suspended statement cause that just spells Ref
switch right there, hello think and don't be so predictable that's
why your show has sucked for many years! oh and it was "nice" for
the Hollywood movie making hypocrite Cena to finally show up for
work. kind of late though as your snack fetching match is just 6 days
away moron!

Rody The Piper is here! He takes a seat at ringside.

World Tag Team Championship: Rhodes and Holly vs. Carlito and Santino

Holly and Marella start up. Knock down by Holly, followed up by the
best dropkick in the business and a kick to the gut. He tries for an
Alabama Slam but Carlito sneaks in and hit a swinging neckbreaker for
2. Carlito connects with loose right hands before tagging out.
Shoulder thrusts by Santino. Holly comes back with a clothesline but
Carlito tags in and gets taken out with a side suplex. Rhodes and
Marella in and Cody hits a springboard reverse crossbody. Cody hits a
snap powerslam for a near fall. A takedown gets 2 but Santino comes
back. He goes up top but is distracted by Piper. Rhodes surprised
Santino with a DDT and it's over.

Winners: Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly

My Review: Nice match but just sucks the tag division is almost if
not already dead, what with the lance and Murdoch split. might as
well just retire the tag belts, bout as valuable as the smackdown
belts now.

Mr. Kennedy is here. He says he has a big mouth but no one can shut
it for him because he's Mr. Kennedy. Kennedy.

Mr. Kennedy vs. Snitsky

Wow, this could be bad. Kennedy tries a kick to the thigh but when
that doesn't work, they lock up, go to the corner and break. Kennedy
comes off the top but gets caught and beat down in the corner. Scoop
slam by Snitsky connects, as does an elbow drop for 1. Snitsky locks
in a bear hug, which Kennedy fights out off, only to run into another
one. He breaks it again and runs into a shoulder tackle. Snitsky
misses a leg drop and Kennedy dodges a clothesline to take out the
knee. Dropkick to the knee by Kennedy, followed up by the facewash in
the corner. Chop block now by Kennedy gets a long 2 count. Snitsky
pulls Kennedy into a clothesline. He tries for the pumphandle slam,
Kennedy slides out of it, kicks the knee and hits the Mic Check for 3!

Winner: Mr. Kennedy

My Review: Whew! Kennedy went over, should've happened last week but
oh well happened this week and Kennedy is getting better and better
each week we see him. JUST NEEDS TO BE CHAMPION ALREADY!

Backstage, Todd Grisham is with Santino. Santino's going to hurt
Piper. It's going to hurt worse than a coconut to the head.

Mickie James thanks John Cena. She says she's going out with her
brother and his girlfriend after the show and asks Cena to tag along.
He jokes around but eventually agrees. He says if you go out with
him, it can get pretty wild. Mickie says she can do wild. She's in
action next.

Melina and Beth Phoenix vs. Mickie James and Maria

Maria and Melina lock up and Maria hits a gutbuster early. Mickie in
and they work a double splits/leg sweep. Mickie gets a 2 that Beth
breaks up. Mickie sends Melina into Phoenix but Melina gets a jack-
knife roll-up for 2. Melina wants a tag, but Beth is upset and
leaves. Mickie hits a neckbreaker on Melina for 3.

Winners: Maria and Mickie James

My Review: hmm I don't know what to say about this match other than
for once Mickie is beating the ugly divas. oh I'm sorry I forgot it's
cause Ashley is in a bit of trouble with the big boys known as the
FBI. oh well Mickie being champ either way is cool with me, just
needs to have better matches and if they are trying to turn Melina
face you can not in no way shape or form turn an ugly diva face!
unless she's a bodybuilder and is dating the WWE Champ (chyna and HHH
8 years ago) other than that it's just not possible.

72% of fans think Shawn Michaels has been telling the truth about his
knee injury.

Chris Jericho is here. He shows us footage of Michaels injuring his
knee at Backlash against Batista. Jericho says he didn't buy it
because he saw the look in Shawn's eyes at Backlash and has been
telling everyone who will listen that Shawn's a fake. But last week,
something happened that changed his mind. We see footage of last
week's tag match. This time, he saw the pain on Shawn's face when he
kicked John Morrison. He was wrong. He wants to tell Shawn he's
sorry. Jericho would understand if Shawn wanted to call off their
match at Judgment Day and says he should because Jericho doesn't want
to face Shawn with a bad wheel. Shawn Michaels is out now, limping.
Jericho won't let Michaels get a word in, so Shawn says he's not the
one who needs to apologize. Shawn says for the first time in his
career, he feigned an injury. He's not hurt. Jericho's not buying it.
He thinks he's playing mind games. Shawn told everybody he would do
whatever it takes to win, and Jericho was right; he's not hurt.
Jericho says he's starting to insult his intelligence. Jericho knows
that he's hurt and it doesn't matter what Shawn says, or what he
does… SWEET CHIN MUSIC! "Trust me when I tell you; I'm not hurt."

My Review:Oh my god a complete swerve on a live raw! this hasn't
happened in 3 years! wow it's a miracle! course bet it won't happen
again for a long, long time. cause well it is WWE after all. Y2J vs
HBK is going to be good even if it will be given less time than a
boring HHH match.

"Take It All" by Zididada is the official Judgment Day theme song.

Jeff Hardy gets the biggest pop of the night so far! He's back. It
feels good to be back. He never wanted to be a way, but he made a
mistake and he paid for it. Now he's back, he has a lot of things to
do. Like… his mic cuts off and William Regal is here. He says no one
wants to hear him and he will be punished for his sins by facing this
man…

Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga

Dropkick through the ropes is followed up by a plancha over the top
and down goes Umaga. Thrust to the ribs of Jeff, followed up by Umaga
launching him into the barricade. Back in and a hard Irish whip sends
Jeff down. Massive uppercut by Umaga now. Umaga goes to the second
rope and connects with a headbutt. Umaga beats Jeff down in the
corner now and goes for the ASSALANCHE… but misses. WHISPER IN THE
WIND~! It gets 3!

Winner: Jeff Hardy

My Review: Wow another surprise on RAW! I am shocked! I had it
figured Jeff would job as more punishment for his mistake I mean Sabu
did so it was right to think Jeff would get the same treatment. but
he didn't and it's great to see him back!

Cryme Tyme vs. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch

JTG and Cade start off. JTG slides out to hang with the fans. Back in
and Cade knocks JTG down. Murdoch in and it's clubberin' time.
Murdoch runs into a boot and in comes Shad. He runs Murdoch over with
a shoulder tackle, slams him and hits an elbow. Cade in and knocked
out again by Shad. JTG comes over the top with a sunset flip for 2
but runs into a boot. Cade in now and boots JTG in the face. Murdoch
back in but runs into a back elbow. Murdoch counters another sunset
flip and gets 3!

Winners: Cade and Murdoch

They hug in the ring and Cade has a mic. That's what he's talking
about. Maybe Murdoch's singing has something to do with it. Murdoch
sings their victory song. Cade nails Murdoch with a right hand!
Murdoch is out. Cade leaves.

My Review: I saw this coming but I acted surprised just so Raw could
be more historical with 3 surprises in one night. but really it was
clearly seen and well not much to mention. as far as the match goes
it was ok for what it was worth.

- We are shown the SmackDown Re-Bound

- Backstage Melina is talking to Jillian, Beth Phoenix approaches,
Melina asks why Beth left her? Beth says she left because last week
Melina cost her the Women's Title. Melina says it was an accident,
but Beth thinks it was because Melina knows she has a better chance
beating James than she does Phoenix. Melina attacks Beth but Beth
overpowers her by slamming her into lockers and beating on her on the
floor. Officials pull Beth off.

- J.R. and King run down the Judgment Day card.

- Backstage Todd Grisham interviews Randy Orton, Orton talked about
himself and says they same stuff he says every week.

Randy Orton vs. John Cena

Orton has new entrance music. A chant war begins, men are
chanting "Let's go Orton!", women and kids are chanting "Let's go
Cena!". Cena begins to get the advantage when William Regal decides
that the current referee is not fit to officiate this match, he is
replaced by JBL! Cena attacks JBL, Cena turns around into an RKO and
a fast count from JBL to lose the match. JBL and Orton attack Cena
until WWE Champion Triple H makes the save! JBL and Cena brawl into
the crowd whilst the steel cage lowers and surrounds Triple H and
Orton in the ring. They fight in the cage until Triple H slams Orton
into one of the sides, Orton slips through between the cage and the
ring to escape Trips. The WWE Champion climbs to the top of the cage
and stares down Orton to end the show.

My Review: Nice match however I clearly saw the JBL angle coming, I
mean its WWE bound to screw up the main event in some way. and yeah I
was cheering for Orton, I'm not a Ceanholic as he's not much to cheer
for. Orton is clearly the best heel in WWE right now as he doesn't
have a windowed GM helping him gain the title or whatever is going on
in bore land. Randy should be champ again soon and I hope it happens
Cena on the other hand, eh no way! please let Orton have a longer run.

Final Thoughts: Good Raw (for once) had some nice swerves (again for
once) but yet had the predictable issues. need to work on that (a
lot) but other than that better than last week and plus a fan could
go to the bathroom without risking injury from the Regal blackouts!
just 6 days away from Judgement Day and well I think its clear that
TNA has WWE beat in the PPV scene this month as WWE hardly did any
build up. maybe if they went old school and spaced out their PPVS
like they use to years ago maybe then they'd be worth the entire 34
to 40 bucks! but yet as I've said once about WWE I'm not holding my
breath on that one. I'm Chris saying have a good few days and I'll be
back with a review of Impact!

My Impact Review
-------------------------------------------------------
By Chris [email: chris@...]

Opening Segment: Dueces Wild
Jim Cornette is in the ring to make an announcement about the Deuces
Wild tag tournament, and he brings out all of the 8 singles wrestlers
who will be thrown into tag teams at ringside. The tag partners are
going to be picked at random out of a bowl, the first pick is Sting,
who then steps in the ring and draws the name of his partner out of
the bowl…. James Storm! Sting and James Storm will be tag partners
going into Sacrifice. Storm runs in the ring and says he doesn't want
to be friends or partners with Sting, and doesn't want to tag with a
guy whose mother let him play with makeup. Sting lays him out in the
ring and sends Storm heading up the ramp. Cornette books Sting vs.
Storm for TONIGHT on Impact in a No DQ match.

My Review: Nice opening segment and nice tag team concept, may be
weird but least TNA is doing something with the long historic
division known as tag team, WWE is letting it die with no remorse!

In The Parking Lot: Jeremy Borash, Scott Steiner & Kurt Angle
Steiner's limo pulls up and JB is ready to interview him. Steiner
says tonight him and Angle will co-exist at one to eliminate Samoa
Joe. Kurt Angle then pulls up and walks over to say that he and Scott
will co-exist for one night and one night only. Petey Williams and
Rhaka Khan are at Steiner's side as Kurt walks away and we go to
commercial.

Petey Williams vs. Curry Man vs. Johnny Devine vs. Shark Boy vs.
Consequences Creed vs. Jimmy Rave
Johnny Devine was in for a while, he had a nice exchange with Creed
and then hit a cool springboard DDT on Curry Man. Shark Boy gets the
tag and dominates Devine and Jimmy Rave until Petey Williams tags
himself in and takes Shark Boy out by slingshotting himself over the
top rope for a version of the Codebreaker. Devine is in, goes for the
450 splash on Shark Boy but Shark Boy moves out of the way and tags
in Curry Man. Curry Man cleans house and gets a 2-count on Jimmy Rave
after a cross-body. Petey Williams slingshots himself over the top
rope to the outside where he catches Curry Man in mid-air with a
hurricanrana! Creed tosses Shark Boy out of the ring into a pile of
bodies then does a huge flipping suicide dive over the top rope onto
everyone at ringside. Back in the ring, Petey hits the Canadian
Destroyer on Creed, then goes for it on Curry Man but Jimmy Rave
comes up and hits that Shining Wizard that breaks Petey's jaw (or
whatever it was he broke) that we've been reading about in the news
on 24Wrestling.com. Jimmy Raves hits his finisher on Curry Man after
a little help from Lance Hoyt for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Jimmy Rave

This was a good match and I'm glad TNA is still making this division
strong, just can we please do without Curry Man? oh I'm sorry I
forgot that's Christopher Daniels now after that lame Money in the
bank rip off match a few months ago. (Feast of Fire match) that now
made him be "fired"

Backstage: JB and Sting
Sting is backstage talking about his match with James Storm tonight,
saying tonight they're going to beat each other up, then they're
going to beat each other up some more, and they'll work out whatever
they need to work out to become the tag team champs at Sacrifice.
Sting says some weird stuff, but damn he makes it sound good.

Video Package: LAX & Hector Guerrero
A video package highlighting the careers of LAX is shown, without any
footage of Konan. There's some new footage of their meetings with
Hector Guerrero.

Backstage: Jim Cornette & the Knockouts
Cornette is backstage addressing the Knockouts who are upset over the
head-shaving stipulation at Sacrifice. Cornette says they are "making
more static than a $2 I-Pod," and he doesn't want them to think of
him an their enemy, but more of a father figure, "especially you" as
he points to Angelina. He sets up the Sacrifice Immunity match
tonight on Impact, where the winner will be immune from getting her
head shaved at Sacrifice.

My Review: WHAT?! ok some might have gotten this idea, but I don't, I
mean Jim said runner up would have her head shaved? um isn't that the
person who doesn't win the ladder match or the last one eliminated in
the battle royal to make it two left? I'm confused!

Backstage: Team 3D vs. Christian & Rhino vs. LAX
Team 3D and Christian & Rhino are facing off backstage. Brother Ray
says that Team 3D has been beating their asses for the last ten
years. A brawl breaks out and they are fighting all over the
backstage area until LAX comes out and lays them all down. Hernandez
hits a Border Toss on Christian through a table. Homicide grabs the
camera and says they are the favorites to win at Sacrifice, and they
are the future of TNA.

My Review: Personality I'm tired of LAX I never liked them, most fans
are going to boo me on this but I'm rooting for either team 3D or
Rhino and Cage to win.

Sacrifice Immunity: Gail Kim vs. ODB vs. Christy Hemme vs. Rhaka Khan
vs. Velvet Sky vs. Angelina Love vs. Salinas vs. Jacqueline vs. Roxxi
Laveaux
Whoever removes the barber sheers from the 10-foot poll on the side
of the ring will gain immunity for the head-shaving match at
Sacrifice on Sunday. Traci is first to go for the pole. Gail Kim
tries to take her down but Traci grabs her head and does a flying
bulldog off the tope rope bringing Gail down to the mat. ODB is close
but Salinas pushes her down all the way to ringside then hits a
tornado DDT on Roxxi into the ring. Christy goes for the FFG off the
top rope but ODB moves. Traci once again goes for the pole but ODB
catches her does a fallaway slam off the second rope. Roxxi hits the
Voodoo Drop on Salinas. Christy goes up the pole for the sheers but
ODB and Gail Kim climb the ropes for a superplex. Velvet and Angelina
then get under ODB and Gail Kim for the powerbomb which results in a
pyramid move that lays out Christy, ODB and Gail. Jacqueline tosses
Velvet and Angelina out of the ring then goes for the sheers but ODB
powerbombs her off the turnbuckle. Gail Kim runs up the turnbuckle
and grabs the sheers to win the match and WILL NOT be getting her
head shaved at Sacrifice.

Winner: Gail Kim

My Review: Nice match and I'm glad TNA ACTUALLY has a women's
division instead of future or past playmates like WWE! (Except For
Mickie James)

Backstage: Joe & Nash
Joe cuts a promo on Steiner and Angle, and how much the world title
means to him. Joe walks away and Nash says that it's going to take a
lot more than strength to beat Joe, it's going to take brains…. Is
anyone else sensing subtle hints that Nash is trying to take out Joe
and get the title for himself sometime down the line?

No DQ: James Storm vs. Sting
Sting immediately starts things off running down to James Storm at
ringside and tossing him over the guard rail into the crowd. Sting
beats Storm all through the crowd until Storm is able to climb up on
some sort of platform and dive off onto Sting. Sting finally regains
some control and throws James Storm through a wall in the Impact
Zone. Sting tosses Storm back to ringside where Storm tags a chug of
beer and sprays it in the eyes of Sting to get the upper hand. Storm
sets up a table in the corner of the ring and goes right back to work
on Sting. He goes to whip Sting into the table but Sting reverses and
clotheslines him. He goes to follow up with a splash off the top rope
but Storm moves. Storm misses a Superkick on Sting and hits the ref.
Sting locks on the Scorpion Death Lock, Jacqueline comes down with a
chair to hope out Cowboy. Storm hits an enzigiri then nails Sting
with the chair for a 2-count. Sting ducks a clothesline and hits the
Stinger Splash followed up by a splash off the top rope onto Storm
for a 2-count. Sting hits the Scorpion Death Drop but instead of
going for the pin he lays Storm across the table and hits the Stinger
Splash right through the table! He again doesn't go for the pin and
instead hits ANOTHER Scorpion Death Drop for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Sting

My Review: Great great match! Sting is my all time favorite legends
wrestler (not meaning to say he's old) and I'm glad he's in a good
feud with someone that is complimentary to him.

Backstage: JB and Kip James
Kip James runs down his accolades and says he will win tag team gold
once again. He says he made DX, not the redneck, not Waltman, not
the "I'm glad I still have a heart beat kid", not the "huge nosed,
water-spitting, piece of….."

My Review: Good promo but I'm just sick of WWE rejects whining! maybe
Bret Hart should sign with TNA, he's the biggest whiner in wrestling!

In The Ring: Cornette announces Dueces Wild team
Matt Morgan and Kip James will be partners at Sacrifice. Morgan tells
Kip to SUCK IT and a brawl breaks out. Cornette says "Let them
fight!" The bell rings and we're off.

Matt Morgan vs. Kip James
The bell rings and security clears the ring as Kip and Morgan duke it
out. Lots of big power moves in this short match. Morgan hits the
scissor kick for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Matt Morgan

My Review: (Um Hunny I'm going to get some Nachos and popcorn what
would you like?) yeah it was that lame!

Backstage: BG James speaks
He talks about his potential partners for Sacrifice. He says Booker T
has the dread locks, he used to rock them back in the day but they
don't look good on an old fat white guy. Robert Roode is rich and
good looking, he is broke and D-O-G-G ugly. He says Awesome Kong is
the only way he is going to look good.

Backstage: JB with Steiner & Angle
Scott has some heated words for Kurt Angle with Petey and Rhaka at
his side. Scott says TNA needs two pure-bred athletes going for the
TNA title, not some fat ass like Samoa Joe. They get into a shoving
match and Petey breaks them up. Petey says the reason they don't get
along is because they're too much alike. Petey says they only need 10
minutes to break Joe down for Sacrifice. He breaks out some Steiner
Arithmetic and says it might only take 66.66% of that time.

Scott Steiner & Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe & Kevin Nash
Joe finally got a new intro video. Nash and Kurt start off. Nash is
on the offensive early on and hits the Snake Eyes on Kurt followed up
by a clothesline for a 2-count. Joe gets the tag and goes to work on
Kurt in the corner. Big Kev gets tagged back in but Kurt hits the eye
rake and tags in Scott who gets caught by a big boot from Kev. The
ref is trying to restrain Kurt and Scott takes the opportunity to hit
a low-blow on Kev and knock Joe off the apron. Steiner goes right to
the knees of Kev to keep him down. Steiner lays him out with a big
clothesline and tags in Kurt who drops Kev with a back-suplex for a 2-
count. Joe finally gets the tag, but the ref doesn't see it. Joe runs
in and lays out Joe and Kurt anyway. He hits a big flying elbow on
Scott in the corner and drops Kurt with a big running powerslam.
Steiner catches Joe from behind with an elbow which allows Kurt to
grab him for the Olympic Slam. Kev then goes for a chokeslam on Kurt
but Steiner hits Kev with the lead pipe when the ref is busy with
Joe. Kurt hits the Olympic Slam and is getting ready for the ankle
lock, but Steiner slides in and steals the 1-2-3 on Kev before Kurt
can turn around.

Winners: Scott Steiner & Kurt Angle

After the match, Scott is posing on the turnbuckle and Kurt runs up
behind up and throws him down with the Olympic Slam. Kurt locks
Steiner in the ankle lock and he taps out in the middle of the ring
as Impact goes off the air.

My Review: I started to not watch this seeing as how Kurt bores me to
death and Scott doesn't help matters but yet Big Kevin Nash kept my
interest, sucks he had to job to an old man Ric Flair hater! oh and
he's also a whiner who lies! hello you were never world champ in WWE
thanks to HHH so get your facts before cutting a bogus promo! Hope
Joe wins he deserves to still be Champ course anyone does except for
Angle and Steiner.

Final Thoughts: Great Impact! TNA is really trying while WWE just
gets more lame each week! guess we know who cares about the fans more
now don't we? TNA is really doing good just need to push the main
event and X division scenes better. other than that they are great
and making a real difference in the wrestling business. I'll be back
next week for Raw until then have a great weekend!

There are reports circulating that Shane Helms was assaulted outside

Helms was slapped in the face by Narron, 29, of Selma. Helms called
police who arrived and arrested Narron about an hour after the
incident.

He was eventually released on $500 bail pending his court appearance
on the charges.

There will be more on this as we get it.

Ashley Massaro has posted a new blog on her MySpace account and I

as it is a decent concept.

<> PETEY WILLIAMS INJURY UPDATE

The injury that Petey Williams picked up during the taping last week
is believed to be a broken orbital bone, he broke it in a match

Apparently backstage Williams started to get upset because he does
not currently have health insurance but souces say that he was told
to go to hospital and TNA will cover the bill. If thye do this will
be very kind of them, they have left injured wrestlers out in the
cold in the past.

<> UPDATE ON RVD'S WIFE

Rob and Sonya Van Dam posted the following message to their fans on
Van Dam's official website at www.robvandam.com.

Hello everybody. We want everyone to know that Sonya's surgery went
well and she's back home recovering now. I've had her home for one
week and after a few miserable days, she's making her comeback. The
misery was due to what they called "post-operation illis".

After the surgery to remove part of her colon and attach the loose
ends, her body took a few extra days to swell intensely, which caused
bruising and a lot of discomfort- to say the least. We got her
checked out and soon afterwards, swelling went down and everything
has been getting better day by day. At this point, we don't know what
kind of therapy treatment we're facing but whatever they say to do-
we'll do it.

We really appreciate all the support that you have been sending our
way. The love, prayers, and positive energy made it all the way, as
Sonya and I read every comment on my Myspace together and received
the attended lift.

All the phone calls, texts, emails and other genuine, straight
hearted messages mean a lot to both of us.

Now let me grab Sonya for you. SONYA...?

"Once again you fans have been amazing during challenging times. I
still have the cards that I received from the jet-ski accident and I
can never forget all the kind wishes. Your personal stories have
given me strength in the knowledge that I am in no way alone in this
battle, when it can be difficult to keep spirits up. I want to thank
all the friends, family and fans that are going through this with
us." - ---SVD

We will have an update for everyone at the end of the week. Cards can
be sent in care of:

<> MORE ON MICHAEL HAYES

It looks like it is getting worse and worse for poor old Michael
Hayes, it has emerged that he is not just racist towards black
wrestlers but is also routinely racist against Indian people as
well. Ranjin Singh and The Great Khali (why the hell would you be
racist to a man who could snap you in half?) have also suffered
racial slurs at the hands (or should that be mouth) of Hayes.

Apparently Ranjin Singh has tried to laugh it off in the past but
people who have witnessed the incidents say it is obvious that he is
deeply hurt by these remarks and often feels intimidated and
frightened when Hayes is throwing these racist remarks around.

Some have even tried to condone what Hayes has done by saying that
Hayes does not say them in a way to cause malice, it is just his way
of mucking about.

<> ANOTHER UPDATE ON ASHLEY MASSARO

The Bella Models website may not be in operation anymore but thanks
to the wonders of the World Wide Web their archive cache files can
still be accessed and one of the pages has Ashley Massaro listed and
demanding $25,000. This "Ashley Massaro" is from New York, WWE's
Ashley Massaro is also from New York.

Massaro is still denying that this is her.

I just find it incredibly difficult to believe that there are two
people with the name (Massaro does not sound like a common name to
me so Ashley Massaro must reduce the odds even further) living in
the same part of New York who look almost identical.

My Raw Review
-------------------------------------------------------
By Chris [email: chris@...]

Opening Segment: Vince, Regal, Kennedy & HHH In The Ring Vince comes
out to kick off the show by telling everyone that he 100% endorses
William Regal as RAW's GM. This brings out Regal himself who steps
into the ring and asks the fans if they respect him. He says they
don't have to like him, but they will respect him, and he will turn
off the lights at his discretion as seen last week. The fans
chant "Regal Sucks" so Regal delivers on his threat and tells the
guys in the back to turn off the lights. The lights the arena go
dark, JR and King are still talking, you can see Regal in the ring
from the crowd's camera flashes. Regal says tonight's show will
continue, but we may not be able to see it, and if he continues to
be disrespected he will turn the lights off.... KENNEDY! Regal is
interrupted by Kennedy's music as Mr. Kennedy makes his way out to
the ring. Kennedy says if Regal wants respect, all he has to do is
face him one on one in the ring tonight. Regal says that he is
Kennedy's superior, and he will prove it by booking Mr. Kennedy in a
match against Kane, John Morrison, The Miz, CM Punk, Chavo, and….
Scratch that, the ENTIRE ECW roster. HHH's music hits and The Game
makes his way down to the ring. HHH says he wants to congratulate
William Regal on his new position of power, and offer him some
friendly advice. He says Regal can't make mistakes now, and cutting
his match off last week was a mistake. Regal changes the main event
to Kennedy & HHH vs. The entire ECW roster!

My Review: Good opening segment however I hate that they were
promoting ECW when their announcer if you can call him that,
(Adamle) SUCKS!

Regal is doing fine in his position however I am sure it will soon
be more annoying than when Booker T was "King" but overall nice
segment and I like that Kennedy is now face, just wish he was
Intercontinental Champ! Dude seriously has great mic skills and has
only won one title!

Lumberjack Match for WWE Women's Title: Mickie James def. Beth
Phoenix
Beth starts off in control, knocking Mickie down to the mat with a
shoulder block then tossing her outside for the lumberjills. Mickie
rolls back in the ring just to get slammed down by Beth for a 2-
count while the lumberjills all fight at ringside. Mickie finally
starts to come back after a dropkick and some elbows to the face.
Mickie goes up to the top turnbuckle and goes flying off for a cross
body block on Beth for a 2-count. All of the lumberjills are
fighting at ringside and have the ref distracted. The match ends
when Melina accidentally hits Beth with the Women's Title Belt among
all the confusion and Mickie rolls her up for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Mickie James

My Review: I like the divas but I hate the matches! Trish was right
when she said WWE's divas are being used poorly. Mickie is a good
Women's champ and Beth is a nice rival for her but the other divas
seem so rehearsed. course Wrestling is rehearsed before each show.
but you don't have show that it is!

Backstage: Regal & Jericho
Regal is talking to Chris Jericho about how he thinks Shawn Michaels
is faking his knee injury. Regal books Chris Jericho & Shawn
Michaels vs. The Miz & Morrison.

My Review: Good to see Jericho back but I really feel he shouldn't
be wasted in another feud with HBK, I like both guys and their 2003
feud was good but as most would say to Canadians LET'S MOVE ON!

Backstage: Trevor Murdoch sings
Trevor Murdoch is backstage singing when TRISH STRATUS walks in out
of nowhere, and is followed by RON SIMMONS…. DAMN! Back at ringside,
J.R. talks about Simmons being inducted into the College Football
Hall Of Fame and some highlights from his time with the Seminoles
are shown.

My Review: I don't know where this is going with Trevor but least
he's being used and not tossed out. oh and TRISH WAS LOOKING HOT!

Backstage: Randy Orton speaks
Orton is backstage with Todd Grisham talking about beating HHH at
Judgment Day.

My Review: I don't remember exactly what Orton said but it was good
nonetheless. and wow Judgement Day 2 weeks away Oh my I can't wait!
(sarcasm)

Handicap Match: Paul & Katie Birchill vs. John Cutler
Before the match, William Regal says he wants Jim Ross' mic cut off.
He says tonight he wants a man who has also been disrespected since
coming to WWE... Mike Adamle! Mike runs down the ramp giving the
thumbs up and high-fiving fans. JR walks away and Mike takes his
seat. John Cutler got a huge pop since he's from Toronto but Paul
and Katie dominated the entire match. Paul does the Curbstomp and
Katie pins for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Paul & Katie Birchill

My Review: Match wasn't bad, but man was Adamle's announcing ever
bad! its not a handicap match anymore! What the Hell! I hope WWE
fires this guy cause he's worse than Coach and that is a bad thing!
I mean last week he got a ref's name wrong! and he sees him
backstage before the show! I might be a little shy if I was to ever
be on camera but I'm sure I could do a lot better job than this
clown. 3 million dollars is what he's being paid and he sucks!
PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK! this guy is the number one reason The mute
option on the TV remote was invented.

Chris Jericho & Shawn Michaels def. The Miz & Morrison
Michaels makes his entrance last, limping heavily down to the ring.
Jericho starts things off in control against Miz. Jericho knocks him
down with an elbow and follows up with a vertical suplex. Morrison
gets the tag and gets some offense in on Jericho but Jericho drops
him and goes for the Walls Of Jericho! Miz looks like he's about to
break it up so Jericho springboards off the middle rope and kicks
the Miz out to ringside. As soon as Jericho gets up Morrison hits
him with a spinning heel kick. Jericho comes back nad hits the
facebuster on Morrison, then when Miz tries to come in he catches
him and locks in the Walls Of Jericho! Morrison breaks it up and
knocks HBK off the apron. Morrison lifts up Jericho but HBK rolls
back in and hits the Sweet Chin Musiic on Morrison out of nowhere!
Jericho springboards off the middle rope with the Lionsault for the
1-2-3!

Winners: Jericho & Michaels

My Review: Where the heck was the story that Jericho thinks HBK is
faking, I mean you think he could've tagged him in to find out. but
he didn't so what was the point of having HBK say he'd do his best?
WWE's logic once again un understandable! oh and Morrison and Miz
for sure are the lamest tag team champs ever! but wait their tag
belts are bogus as the raw tag belts have more prestige. (dating
back to 1958) so it fits!

Randy Orton def. CM Punk
Orton lays down Punk with a couple shoulder blocks and follows up
with a headlock. Punk gets in a little offense and hits Orton with
some kicks to the leg and shoulders. He whips Orton into the corner
and hits a knee to the face for a 2-count. He hits Orton with
another spinning heel kick but then William Regal comes out and
turns off the lights and declares this match officially over. We go
to commercial.

Winner: No contest

My Review: Nice match for whatever it was worth. hate the fact that
they are having Regal turn the lights off, I mean you think fans
will actually want to come see a show if they won't get to see the
good match ups and more of the boring ones. can you say REFUND! sure
Wrestling is fake but this is totally bogus! and what if a fan has
to go to the bathroom them stairs hurt! THINK VINCE THINK! oh wait
that's not your strong point as your company has been lame for about
7 years. alas the ECW/WCW invasion angle.

Carlito's Cabana: Roddy Piper and Santino face off
Carlito is in the ring showing footage of Roddy Piper & Santino's
exchange last week on RAW. Carlito says he's going to clear the air
right now, and introduces his guest, Roddy Piper. Carlito says that
Piper took things too far last week by slapping Santino in the face.
Piper says "Listen Buckwheat, my whole life I've taken it too far."
He says another guy may have turned the other cheek, or insulted him
back, but not him. Piper says he beat Mr. T, he beat Hogan and he
beat cancer. He says he doesn't have time to play nice with the
Super Mario Brother. Carlito says Piper is lucky that he wasn't
there, because he would have slapped Piper back. Santino's music
hits and he makes his way out to the ring. Santino says Carlito
doesn't have to lay a hand on him, because he's got Piper taken care
of. Santino says it took Piper 8 years to become Intercontinental
Champ, and Santino did it his first night with the company. Piper
says "First of all, what you need to do, is get a designated driver
baby!" Whooaaa!

Cody Rhodes comes out and tries to calm things down, and even though
Hardcore Holly isn't here tonight, he says he knows two guys who are
dying to meet the Hot Rod. Cryme Tyme comes out and chases off
Santino and Carlito. They celebrate with Roddy Piper in the ring as
we go to commercial.

My Review: Nice segment although I can't stand Carlito nor Santino!
both are more annoying than Hulk Hogan "telling you" to live clean
when in fact he doesn't live that way himself! Roddy Piper looked
great, but as for Cody I'd rather listen to Jim Carrey's lisp
impression than Cody's. basically the same thing only Jim Carrey is
more entertaining to watch.

Backstage: JBL speaks
Backstage JBL is talking about how nobody can imagine what it's like
to be JBL and invites us to take a look at his lifestyle. The camera
is in the back of JBL's limo as he talks about how he has a full
bar, high speed internet and everything else he needs in the back of
limo. He says he's going to give us a preview of what he's going to
do to Cena at Judgment Day here tonight on RAW.

JBL def. D.H. Smith
JBL cuts a promo on DH Smith and Canada, and says that he's the last
sign of the Hart Foundation which is dead. He says Davey Boy Smith
can't help him, Bret Hart can't help him, and God can't help him.
The bell rings and JBL goes right to work on Smith. He lays him out
with a big boot and hits a loud kick to the back. He runs off the
ropes and hits the clothesline from hell for the 1-2-3.

Winner: JBL

After the match, JBL posts DH up in the corner and slaps him around.
The referees finally get in the and break it up.

My Review: I don't see why JBL is being placed against a hypocrite
like Cena! Cena says he's not into movies but into wrestling but yet
isn't on Raw to promote his PPV match, instead leaving JBL to do all
the work! This match between these two at the PPV I can see it now
will suck! course anything with Cena sucks! I feel bad for JBL.

Backstage: Regal & the ECW roster
All 14 members of the ECW roster are backstage yelling at William
Regal about their match tonight. Regal says that tonight they are
being handed a victory, and anything less will be a disappointment.

The entire ECW roster def. HHH & Mr. Kennedy
Elijah Burke, Chavo, Kofi Kingston and Tommy Dreamer all get their
turns working on Kennedy. Kennedy got some offense in on Matt
Striker before Shelton Benjamin and Kofi Kingston have a little
conflict stemming from Benjamin tagging himself in. Kennedy hits a
back suplex on Benjamin who rolls over and tags in Nunzio. Kennedy
drops Nunzio with a Samoan Drop but he is able to tag in Chavo
before Kennedy can get to HHH. Chavo walks over to HHH and The Game
gets in the ring and cleans house! Shelton Benjamin is finally able
to stop HHH with a big boot. Kennedy hits the mic check on Matt
Striker but is then laid out by a chokeslam from Kane. Chavo goes up
top and hits the frogsplash on Mr. Kennedy for the 1-2-3.

Winners: The ECW roster

The whole roster enters the ring after the bell and brawl with HHH
and Kennedy. Mike Knox grabs a steel chair from ringside and goes to
hit HHH but HHH grabs the chair and starts laying everyone out. As
soon as HHH gets on a roll, the lights go out courtesy of Mr. Regal.
The lights go back on and Randy Orton is standing behind HHH! He
hits an RKO and stands over an unconscious HHH as RAW goes off the
air.

My Review: This match was bogus, sure it was to help promote ECW's
miraculous upcoming 100th show. I'm surprised they even made it to
10 after Vince took away THE REAL ECW feel of it. HHH losing to a C
or in this case F for Flop brand was surprising. oh wait Kennedy got
pinned, typical HHH not wanting to job. but yet this makes Kennedy
look bad on his return. What a jerk HHH is! scratch that not a jerk
but more like a word I can't use since Kids probably read this.

Final thoughts: Nice Raw but yet still not WWE's best, their best in
my opinion is back there 8,9 10 years ago! HHH being WWE champ is
cool just needs a new belt cause HHH with a rap video prop is
totally gay! Nice matches (except for the Divas and the handicap
match, or was it a handicap match, Adamle's got me confused).
(sarcasm towards Mike, sorry) I don't think Judgement will do too
well because of lack of promoting and booking!

Unless Smackdown and ECW have something for the PPV it will suck
cause raw only has one or two matches promoted! hopefully next week
that will change. but yet with WWE I'm not going to hold my breath.

<> COACHMAN GONE FROM WWE

People were left wondering just why The Coach had been removed
from the announce booth on Smackdown, well all seems to have
become very clear.

Cochman's contract is due up in a couple of months and it emerged
that Coach had lined up an interview with ESPN to be an anchorman,
this obviously did not sit well with WWE officials who wanted someone
who would put their company first and not another company.

This is why he was replaced by Mick Foley (and possibly why Foley was
cracking so many jokes at Coachman's expense). Now news has broken
that Coach had landed the anchor job it looks like he is about done
with WWE and will finish up wthin the next week or so and will then
jump to ESPN.

I liked Coach, OK his commentory may not have added anything to the
Smackdown show but it certainly did to the Raw show in my view. His
heel persona was also fantastic, a lot of wrestlers could have
learnt a lot from watching him.

<> MORE INFORMATION ON MICHAEL HAYES

There is a feeling backstage in WWE that Michael Hayes might not be
able to return to the company if Mark Henry is still employed.

Mark Henry was the wrestler who received racist comments from
Michael Hayes and he complained to Vince McMahon and basically said
to Vince "Either he goes or I do". Obviously Mark Henry is held in
high regard but the company are believed to hold Hayes incredibly
high, this is possibly why he gets away with a lot of things like
getting drunk and making an arse of himself.

<> ORTON WANTS TIME OFF

Randy Orton has asked WWE officials for time off from doing house
shows as his wife is due to give birth to their first child in July
and he would like to spend some more time at home with them.

He has said he is still happy to do television and pay-per-views.

It is not known if WWE officials have granted his request but he has
been pulled from WWE's upcoming tour of Mexico.

<> MCMAHON TO RECEIVE AWARD

Today's edition of Vanity Fair is reporting that WWE chairman Vince
McMahon will be receiving the Promax/BDA lifetime achievement award
during the upcoming 53rd annual Promax/BDA conference in Manhattan.

He is being given the apparently prestigious award "for his
successful development of the WWE brand, which began life as a
regional syndicated program and now incorporates "virtually every
conceivable platform available in today's marketplace," those are
the words of CEO Jonathan Block-Verk in case you wee wondering.

<> PROMOTER UPSET WITH SID VICIOUS

Dave Martin was warned by many people when he decided to book Sid
Vicious for a Prime Time Wrestling event recently. They warned him
that Sid Vicious has a reputation of not showing up to shows and he
did this very thing to Dave Martin.

Dave received a phone call om Sid two days before the show to inform
him that he had injured his foot but it should not hinder him making
the event. Dave thought nothing more of it and drove to the airport
to pick him up but found out that Sid had not boarded the plane.

Countless calls to his home were pointless as he did not answer and
Dave was left with no option but to continue with the show without
his top draw.

Thankfuly he had a collection of guys on the show that fans paid to
come and see. Such as Johnny Devine, Rhino, Robert Roode, Chris
Sabin, Alex Shelley, and Eric Young but he spent a lot of money on
promoting the show around Sid being there.

I am guessing that Linda is taking her husband Hulk Hogan to the

The Hulkster Chicken Sandwich, The Hulkster Cheeseburger and Hulkster

So if you are a famous man then beware on cheating on your wife,
you'll end up trying to make money by endorsing crap frozen meals at

<> BOBBY LASHLEY LEAVING WWE?

Bobby Lashley announced on his official website (laughingly some
small time news reporters are claiming that he telephoned them
personally) that he

was moe or less done with WWE and ha received his release from the
company.

This is obviously a massive shock and judging by the amount of time
and effort they spent pushing Lashley to the moon it will be
interesting to find

out the exact reason why they agreed to let him go.

At the time of publishing today's edition WWE have not confirmed or
denie the report.

<> RVD SHOOTS ON WWE

Rob Van Dam appeared on SportsTalkCleveland.com's Pro Wrestling
Insider show last night and spent over 40 minutes discussing several

controversial subjects such as Vince McMahon's new ECW, "one of the
boys, that's married to one of the boss' daughters", and much more.
The

following are some excerpts from the interview:

On whether he is bitter over his WWE run:
"Honestly, I don't feel I am bitter at all. When I went to WWE, in
the summer of 2001, I didn't even want to go. It was never my
favorite style of

wrestling, even since I was a little kid and it was the only style
of wrestling that I knew. So, when I went there in 2001, it was all
business. At that

point in my career, it was all business, and I was already tired of
traveling. I already really peaked my interest in ECW, as an artist.
In the original

ECW, I felt like I was an artist out there, and I had the freedom to
display my ability, my talents, and to show what I wanted to show,
and win the

fans over. It was in my control."

On the ECW revival in WWE moving away from the original ECW concept:
"When they squashed the spirit of ECW, I was still kicking on the
way out. I would tell Vince, "If you do this, the ECW fans aren't
going to like this,

that's not what this is about." That's when I realized (it was
doomed) because he told me, exactly "Rob, I never intended this to
be like the old ECW.

Nobody remembers the old ECW." I'd say, "You've got to be kidding
me! You don't think anybody remembers it? Why do you think the Pay-
per-view

was so successful, and the DVD! Isn't that why you're bringing it
back?" (Does Vince McMahon voice) "Rob, for all I know, those 2500
fans at the

Manhattan Center were the last of the old ECW fans."

Vince McMahon's reason why fans still chanted "ECW": "I said "Vince,
why do you think they still chant ECW?" (Does Vince McMahon
voice) "Because

I've trained them to do that over the last five years." Seriously,
how do you argue with that? You don't, eventually you throw in the
towel, which is

what I did."

On Rob's appreciation of his fans:
"I would be the only person who would go out behind the building
and ... oh wait, that was something else I used to do (laughs). I
would go out back

and I would sign autographs for the fans that are waiting out there,
and they would say "Oh Rob, you're the only one who has come up to
us all

day!" and I would say "Of course, it's pouring rain, and you've been
standing under a tree all day, you don't expect wrestlers to come
out here, do

you?" But I would usually do it, because I would get energy out of
that, and know that they would remember that."

On his WWE Title win:
"WWE never planned on pushing me, they had no choice because the
fans demanded it. I was told, when we were talking about bringing
ECW back

as a third brand, and when Paul (Heyman) was talking about putting
the World Championship Title on RVD to kickstart ECW, I was told
that one of

the boys, that's married to one of the boss' daughters, actually
said that "RVD just doesn't have that connection with the crowd".
Now, is that a

genuine comment, or is that a back-stabbing, throat-slicing comment
to try and keep yourself from feeling threatened by somebody else?"

<> MORCOMBE DOME SAVED!

At a meeting today Lancaster City Council Cabinet members voted NOT
to close XWA's home venue - The Morecambe Dome.

The council agreed to continue to keep The Dome open until such time
as the site is required for development by award-winning designers
Urban Splash, not expected to be for at least four years.

This is, of course, fantastic news for the XWA, Morecambe and for
British wrestling as a whole.

It means the XWA does not have to move or cancel any of our
scheduled shows for 2008 and we can press ahead with our plans to
continue to bring high quality professional wrestling to The Dome
for at least FOUR MORE YEARS!

We would like to thank everyone who supported our fight to save the
Morecambe Dome. Our special thanks go to the fans and wrestlers of
the XWA who made phone calls and sent us messages of support this
week, and the over 500 people who joined the on-line MySpace and
Facebook petitions to Save The Dome. Your support undoubtedly had an
impact on the decision, as the politicians knew about the petitions
and took the public's overwhelming opinion into account.

We would also like to thank the cabinet members of Lancaster City
Council for making the right decision for the future of Morecambe.

The XWA now intends to turn our Goldrush show on Saturday, February
2 not into a wake for the Morecambe Dome, as first was feared, but
into a celebration of the fact that British Wrestling's number one
venue is to carry on for at least Four More Years!

And finally, we would like to invite all XWA fans to join our
celebrations on Saturday February 2 when XWA presents Goldrush 2008 -
It's Time To Rumble at the much-loved venue that is undoubtedly
British Wrestling's Home, YOUR Morecambe Dome!

<> INTERVIEW WITH ROH CHAMPION NIGEL MCGUINNESS

Courtesy of http://www.prohiowrestling.com & http://gerweck.net

In our continuing series of interviews featuring talent from the
Ohio wrestling scene both past and present, we have recently had the
privilege of

getting a brief chance to ask a few questions to current Ring of
Honor World Champion Nigel McGuinness. Nigel will be in Dayton, Ohio
this upcoming

Friday January 25th to defend the RoH title against Chris Hero in a
steel cage. William B. West: What first drew you to professional
wrestling?

Nigel McGuinness: The sense of mystery and excitement of the show.

William B. West: At what point in your life did you decide you
wanted to wrestle professionally, and how/why did you pick Les
Thatcher's school in

Cincinnati?

Nigel McGuinness: When I was about fourteen after watching a
documentary Robbie Brookside made. Les was the only person who took
the time to

reply to my enquiries with a hand written letter and after meeting
him and seeing the place I was sold.

William B. West: You've wrestled all over the world, Europe, Japan,
the US. Do you change your style to fit the audience, or do they get
the same

Nigel McGuinness wherever you are?

Nigel McGuinness: No, you adjust the show to who is watching and
what they want to see.

William B. West: You currently hold one of the most prestigious
titles in pro wrestling, the Ring of Honor World Title, is there a
lot of pressure holding

this championship?

Nigel McGuinness: Absolutely. But such is life in any pursuit. With
great achievement comes great criticism, that is the way it goes.

William B. West: You've been the good guy and the bad guy, do you
have a preference?

Nigel McGuinness: People seem to find it easier to dislike me.

William B. West: Who are some of the biggest influences in your
wrestling career?

Nigel McGuinness: Les of course. William Regal. Brian Dixon. Chic
Cullen. Robbie Brookside. Jonny Saint. Samoa Joe. Clamdigger
Danielson.

William B. West: If you could have a dream match against anyone past
or present who would you wrestle and why?

Nigel McGuinness: John Cena. PPV check.

William B. West: How long do you see yourself wrestling? What are
your plans after you retire?

Nigel McGuinness: As long ass I'm healthy and not adding permanent
damage and I enjoy it. Want to write, maybe work in a bar and relax
by the

beach a lot. Have a kid.

William B. West: Nigel thank you for taking time out of your hectic
schedule to answer a few questions here at PROHIOWRESTLING.com, I
know the

fans here in Ohio are looking forward to seeing you in action this
week. Anything you'd like to add before we go?

Nigel McGuinness: To the wrestling fans, keep supporting an
alternative. Thanks for the words of encouragement recently from
some of you, they

meant a lot to me.

<> WELLNESS POLICY ALREADY RELAXED?

It seems that the wellness policy in WWE has now been relaxed as it
emerges that they will only test wrestlers for marijuana once a year
and if a

positive result is found then said wrestler will be fined $1,000 and
will not suffer a suspension or have a strike against him.

It really does go to support what I said when the Benoit tragedy
happened and WWE promised to tighten their wellness policy, they
only did it to

gain good publicity and once it dies down they will go back to how
it was before.

<> TWC FIGHT PURCHASED?

While there has been no official confirmation the Ofcom license page
is stating that TWC Fight, a wrestling & MMA channel in the UK, has
been

purchased by The Fight Network, an MMA channel in Canada.

This was something that had been talked about on the internet for
the last year or so and the rumour was intensified when the channel
added a

large amount of MMA and reduced the wrestling it was showing.

I'm guessing that once this is made official we will see wrestling
content completely removed.

<> OFFICIAL RAW PREVIEW

Will Flair's career face the Raw Roulette wheel?

Ric Flair's year of living dangerously drew to a close last Monday
night in Greensboro, N.C., where the Nature Boy dodged forced
retirement for yet a third time. It was smack dab in the middle
of "Flair Country" that the legend prevailed in an emotional Win-or-
Retire match against his friend and protege, Triple H.

The improbable winning streak has left Randy Orton, Umaga and now
Triple H in its wake as Flair struggles to keep from going under.
But how much longer can "Naitch" really hope to keep his head above
water? Or will the Nature Boy's next match be his final goodbye as
Raw comes to Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.?

With Raw broadcasting live from the Connecticut gaming resort, "Raw
Roulette" makes its return. For the first time in five years,
Superstars will spin a wheel loaded with match stipulations, and
will be forced to compete in the style the wheel selects.

The last Raw Roulette evening brought forth a Steel Cage Match, a
Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match, a Bra and Panties Match and a
Street Fight. Who knows what the spin of the wheel will bring forth
for an unpredictable Monday night?

The close of the year also brought unexpected spoils for Mr.
Kennedy. The loudmouth from Green Bay, Wisc., promised a victory
over Shawn Michaels before the end of 2007, and he made good on that
promise, avoiding HBK's fancy footwork and wrapping up the
Showstopper for the three-count. Was Mr. Kennedy right for claiming
that Michaels' days on top are numbered? Or will the maestro be able
to strike up the band once more?

In other action, JBL made his ostentatious debut Monday night,
complete with stretch limo, balloons and streamers and plenty of the
Texas tycoon's self-important bravado. Unfortunately for JBL, Chris
Jericho was there to rope him in, interrupting his appearance as the
two exchanged blows outside the ring. JBL no doubt hopes to hurt
Y2J, but just how does the ornery cuss plan to go about it? And what
will Jericho do in return?

For answers to these questions and more, tune in to Monday Night Raw
at 9/8 CT on USA Network.

Then there's the massive misogynist steak. This isn't a TV show it's
