Sam,
Hey I left early yesterday. We weren't sure about traffic and there
was none when we left OCMD at 12:30pm. We also lucked out on the bay
bridge going over later sat morning. Can't believe it...Anyways, yes
there were waves this weekend, but sat was windy choppy-semi choppy
2-4ft and sun was cleaner waist high- maybe some bigger chest highs
thrown in. Monday looked waist high-shoulder high and clean on
assateague but tide was high. The guys this weekend and girls that had
the longer boards seemed to get the good rides. I didn't surf
assateague because I wanted some surf photos in OC but I went to 48th
and 62nd and it was chest-headhigh breaking right before the beach
shorebreak and guys wouldn't stay on their boards past the drop. I
checked 142nd and no surfers just 2 guys on body boards......:( Maybe
if I stuck around til the tide went out, it would of been great to
surf and take photos, but I couldn't wait that long. I also didn't
want to go up to the delaware zoos (IRI Inlet or Naval Jetties)
Shorebreak was looking strong and when I surfed this weekend, there
was some side shore current.
Well there's plenty of chances of surf for the next week or too.
Storms marching off the coast of africa one by one.
Hope you guys and gals had a good weekend!
ughhhhhh back to work.
