Hi Ho All,
And Hi Ho Robert ... A new name! Welcome.
When you think about it, you may well be right. I often think the big
issue with cricket is the international game seems to be the be all and
end all. Other big sports generally have club and national teams, or
just club teams. So, for example, in football (soccer) England and
Germany have a huge rivalry, but how often have they played each other?
So like those sports, maybe a scrapping of the international calendar is
on the cards with nations left to have their own club/state/county
competitions. Then, once every four years we have an ODI world cup,
every other four year cycle we have a Test World Cup. In the other years
(the 1st and 3rd) there can be other comps if nations want them (such as
the Ashes). Simple really.
Cheers
Christopher
