To be fair, I heard David Stewart speak with Jonathan Agnew about this yesterday during the test at Lords. He was adamant this was a document that had been drafted purely for discussion and it had been leaked. Even Giles Clarke, chair of the ECB also said he had no knowledge of the document, so any such judgement is premature.
However, 2020 is here to stay - it's a cricketing phenomenon that is sweeping the world, and like all the best games, was an English invention so why the hell shouldn't the ECB capitalise on it? Who said the Asian Bloc should have exclusive dibs on it?
