I was surprised Symmonds survived the hattrick ball ... despite hawkeye, I
would have given him; bats are for a reason. And Hussey was as plumb as
early on. Even my usually stout, 'the umpire is always right', is starting
to waver.

But I suspect a draw. Ponting won't be game enough to give them a sniff, but
they will need 80 overs you'd think at least to bowl them out. Could be fun
and games if all goes well come mid afternoon.

And then there is the rain!

One can have all the batting and bowling resources but if the umpiring gets so heavily biased to the extent even the 3rd umpire rules in favour of the home...

i dont think its bias, i agree just terrible. You must have seen ponting given out LBW? he almost hit that thing for 4!!! but thats cricket, he was out earlier...

Bucknor has become one of the not so good umpires in the elite panel .. its not only this match he has made blunders. Such decisions are coming in far too...
