DALLAS (AP) - The Dallas Stars signed winger Scott Young to a two-
year contract Friday.
Young played in 67 games with the St. Louis Blues last season. The
right wing had 19 goals and 22 assists to go with 26 penalty minutes
last season with the Blues.
The Clinton, Mass., native was drafted in the first round by the
Hartford Whalers in 1986.
The 34-year-old Young has won the Stanley Cup twice. He was a member
of Pittsburgh's championship team in 1991, and helped the Colorado
Avalanche win the Cup in 1996, scoring three goals and 12 assists in
22 postseason games.
Young has played in 970 career NHL games, scoring 293 goals and 357
assists for 650 points with 352 penalty minutes. He's appeared in 127
career playoff games, posting 39 goals and 40 assists for 79 points.
