WORCESTER, MA – Worcester IceCats President and General Manager John
S. Ferguson
today announced the appointment of Kevin Cummings to the post of
Executive Vice
President for the American Hockey League (AHL) club. Cummings will

Cummings comes to Worcester after a successful four-year campaign as
general

From the
inception of the franchise, he guided the day-to-day operations. His
most
notable responsibilities included establishing and maintaining
corporate

first ever recipient of the UHL General Manager of the Year award.
Cummings' professional sports resume extends back 12 years. His
course began in
professional baseball, including periods with the Lynchburg Red Sox,
West Palm
Beach Expos, Sarasota Red Sox and Mobile BayBears.
Ferguson spoke highly of Cummings' diverse credentials. "Kevin has
extensive
experience in the sports industry and is well positioned to move the
Worcester
IceCats franchise forward." He continued, "He's a proven leader and
we're
excited to add him to our exceptional team in Worcester."
