Wreslting Season is just around the corner and I have several events & Other information I need to pass along.

Oregon Women's Wrestling welcomes Scott Miller as the New Wrestling Director of Pacific Univeristy. He is the Head Coach for both the Men's Team and the Women's team as well. Scott has some great ideas for promoting Wrestling in Oregon.

Upcoming Women's Wrestling Events:

November 23rd: The Pacific University Junior Open has been going on for some years and this year they are adding a Women's Junior Division! This is for High School girls that are in the 9th through 12th grades. There is a high probability that this event will be freestyle for the girls. This is held at Pacific Univesity in Forest Grove Oregon. Any High School Coaches or wrestlers please plan to come and bring your girl athletes to this tournament. Forest Grove Oregon

Oregon Classic January 11th-12th: There will be a girls tournament & a Open Womens tournament as well as Women's College Duals. Redmond Oregon


Call for volunteers and Support:

Calling all girl wrestlers and their supporters to help with several events and to support Pacific University and their Varsity Women's Wrestling Team as well as our Oregon Women's Division.

Our current fund raiser: Please contact me or Bobo Umemoto 503-761-2038 bobo@... for drawing tickets for a New 2002 Custom Harley Davidson Softtail. Each ticket requests a $20 donation and you get a 1 in 1500 chance to win the new Harley. The drawing will be held on December 25th, 2002. Help us sell these tickets and raise money to help offset the travel costs or Oregon girls attending out of state tournaments. Please help out by contacting one of us for some tickets to sell! Only through our own efforts are we going to succeed. Help be apart of the success!

September 28th Pacific Universtiy Women's Team Car Wash: Lets see how many girl wrestlers we can get out to help them raise money for their travel fund. Come out and help someday you might just be a Boxer Women Wrestler! Call me or email me with your name if you can committ to helping out! Lets see how many of our Oregon & SW Washington girls we can get out there to wash cars. 

November 29th Women's Dual meet with Simon Fraser Univeristy: This is a great opportunity for upcoming girl wrestlers to see the college's in action. Lets support Boxer Women's Wrestling at Pacific University and cheer the ladies on! 5:00pm
