Sorry Ava cant really help you with an opinion on
either. We dont see to many SIGs down in Tassie; In fact
the only time l got to use one was years ago when our
lot (FEDS) and the State police and specialist
military units were looking for replacements for the S&W
revolvers and Browning 9mm semi's. They certainly performed
very well but in the end the Glocks won out. Yes under
our user conditions the SIGs were as good, and
slightly more accurate, but the bean counters looked at
the dollars and the whiz kids liked the idea of
"Plastic" guns. In Oz a glock for the govt. is about 1/3
the price of a SIG.<br>All l know about Kahrs is what
l've read. As far as l know none have ever got to Oz.
Which is a pity from what l've read. Re your problems
with getting guns made "legal" in California yes l've
read a bit. Frightening stuff in the "land of the
free"! Thankfully our governments learn't not to mess
with gun owners anymore after their efforts to ban
semi auto rifles/shotguns. Our only real bitch these
days is the remaining requirement that we have to wait
28 days to buy a gun even if you already own one.
The other issue that is coming out in the pre
election (Federal)bunfight is to allow CCW for ordinary
citizens. I doubt we'll get that but l think most States
will allow the use of a firearm for self defence (In
some States it is an Offence!) and may consider some
high risk business people to carry on premises. Anyhow
best get going, I've got a meeting with a local big
business man who has asked me to stand for government
again and he's footing the bill so l can't upset him
and his family. Regards Dave
