Congratulations on the win! :-) I've tried a
Glock 17. It was the first 9mm semi-auto I have ever
fired. I felt the grip was large for my hand, and it
jammed twice in 10 rounds. I think I was "limp wristing"
it. I would like to try a Glock 19, since it seems to
fit my hand better.
However, my local gun shop
doesn't have one for rent.

They are having a
Manufacturer's shoot in a few weeks though. Reps from Glock,
SIG, and a bunch of others will be there. I'd like to
try a Glock 19, Glock 34, SIG P226 and another SIG
model I saw but can't remember the number. It's a major
investment though - I think it retails at like $1,100 or
something.

I love my SIG P225 and was at the range
today testing different ammo. I tried American Eagle
115 gr, 124 gr and 147 gr in 9mm, plus a few others
in .38 for my .357 revolver. 8 out of 10 shots were
in the center circle with the AE115 gr. I was pretty
happy with that.

As far as competition, is
there any minimum grain? Do most ppl shoot light or
heavy? I figure the more grains, the more recoil, and
the less accurate. Although that proved untrue with
the .38 Special's I tried. A 130 gr (Remington UMC)
was all over the place while a 158 gr (Federal
Classic Semi-Wadcutter) was dead on, and I felt no
difference in recoil. Or could that be the
brand?

Midwest_Lass
