It is true that if you use cheap lead ammo, the
Ruger Mark II will jam alot due to build up of lead in
the chamber. If you use copper coated ammo, and keep
your gun clean by using "Pro-Shot Lead Solvent" or
"Sweet's 7.62 bore solvent" (that's the strongest on the
market--it contains ammonia, so don't leave it on too long.
Then after, use "Break Free" cleaner, it will put a
protective coat so that leading won't happen as bad. You
will find better results. I have a Ruger Mark II and I
used to work at a range that rented one out--we found
out that this was the cure. My husband is also a
gunsmith, and this is what he recommends. Let me know what
