Ruger Jams

I bought myself a Ruger MkII for Christmas.<br>I
was always led to believe Rugers are noted for not
jamming. The one I bought was brand new. But it jams every
3-5 shots fired. The guy at the range said it just
needed to be "broken in". Ive shot close to 1000 rounds
with it, but it continues to jam.<br>Any
suggestions???<br>Q
