You may wish to find an NRA Basic course, and see
if you can attend, or at least audit the course.
Picking up a few books on the subject can help, and the
NRA has several good publications on the subject. You
may, depending on NY laws, have to travel out of state
to find other courses, where access to handguns
might be easier.<br><br>Airguns are a good start, as
you can work on the fundamentals of
