Albany NY Target Shooting & Lessons?

I have not been shooting in years, I am looking
to take it up as a hobby in the new year (target
shooting etc). <br><br>I do not own a gun at this point,
so I will be looking for advice on how to proceed. I
intend to apply for my NYS pistol permit, but I am not
sure how to practice in the menatime, since that can
take 6-12 months to process from what I hear.
<br><br>If anyone has any advice on places to go for lessons
in the Albany/Troy NY area, I would greatly
