Yes you can bring your guns downunder except for
semi/full auto rifles and semi/pump action shotguns. Re the
car racing there just happens to be a Dodge Viper
(And l think it is still a lefthand drive) that ran
this year and will be available to rent next year as
the owner is looking at either another newer model
Viper or a big breather Mustang. Until it crashed out a
Viper was 3rd overall which shocked everyone in the
event as they are not considered a good outright
winner; But possibly the biggest crowd pleaser though for
although we're paying about $US2.50 per gallon we are
still a big block country. Especially in the Northern
Territory were there is no open road speed limit. If you do

help. I've just got back from the race and speaking
with the Canadians and Americans that competed and
they are totally blasted by it. CJ 'Chip" Johns from
New Mexico who has raced all over the world said
whilst it was not like any other event he has been in
and his car was not right for it (Its built for off
road rallying) it is the best race he's been in ever.
The Canadian crew reckon they have already organised
for upto 6 more crews to come down next year as they
rate it the best car race/rally they've ever been in.
