Not those funny looking weirdo cars that flog
around a big oval track though. The cars we have here
are much like what you can buy down at your local
dealer or have built at the hotrod shop. In fact some of
the Chevy's and one of the Vipers are direct imports
from the US with basically a decent set of brakes put
in, a roll cage and a few other small changes and
away they go. Some even run auto transmissions and
electric windows and air con. They dont win but boy do the
drivers have fun. l was talking to the yank from New
Mexico tonight whilst l inspected his car after a minor
day 1 accident. Apart from the car he reckons it has
only cost him $US5000 all up to come here and compete
for the 2 weeks. Come on Ava grab hubby, put a few
dollars away and book in for the ride next year. Love to
