Time marches on and we thought it was time to give an update on Nash Hash 2007.
Registrations are picking up nicely so get yours in now and make sure that you don't miss the boat!As you may know the pre-Christmas £120 Registration price has been held until the end of February in order to give you all a chance to recover from Christmas credit card bills. However, the price will NOT be held again and so if you want to get in at this price - get your registration form (downloadable from http://www.nh2007.co.uk/misc/Flyer3_Form3.pdf) in to Grizzler before the end of February.
The Venue at Towcester Racecourse is ready to have us, it has a brand new building all finished, as much camping space as you could imagine.
Accommodation - we understand that those cumming from further afield might not be able to lug a tent along and so we have have a range of other options for you if this is the case. There is bed and breakfast accommodation in nearby Towcester, we have organised for hire of pre-erected tents (see web site) or, for those who are happy with communal crash space, we are trying to arrange for crash marquee dormitories with wooden flooring on site so all you have to do is bring your sleeping bag. This last option should be confirmed soon but let us know if you want to take advantage of it.
Catering has been booked, menus are on the website with a choice of dishes which all look very yummy.
Trails have more or less been finalised, again check out the website for more details.
Entertainments - Ring Peace is over seeing all of this, need I say more, but we will have some excellent live bands (dead ones go a bit smelly after a while). He's also keen to hear if you are intending to put on a cabaret - so please let us know if you are.
Beer -our beer master Arseover, is sampling all the beers on offer, to try and make his selection as I write – I hope he makes it soon, coz I have heard he hasn’t been to work for weeks!
As it is 2007 this Nash Hash is going to have a definite Bond theme throughout so dig out your DJ's and white pussies and come on down to Towcester for weekend to remember. If you have already registered - look forward to seeing you there - if you haven't registered yet - What are you waiting for??!!
Updates are appearing on the web site http://www.nh2007.co.uk/ so keep checking for news as it becomes available.

TACH is a club in the Bristol area of the west of England for runners who enjoy socialising. Our members cover a wide range of ages and running abilities but all are catered for.
We meet every Thursday for training runs from some of the best pubs in the area and across some of the finest routes and countryside around, usually less than a thirty-minute drive from Bristol. See the current TRAINING RUNS page.
We run about 8-10km, mainly off road .We normally all run together as a single group rather than breaking into "fast" and "slow" groups.
Our faster runners do extra loops, "sheepdogging" (looping round the back of the pack), to get a tougher workout. We won't guarantee you'll end the run with clean shoes, but we're sure you'll have had more fun than if you'd plodded along roads in town and been kinder to your joints.
All you'll need is a torch in the darker winter months and a change of clothes and some beer money for the pub!
The running is important, but so is the pub and the quality of the trails we find! We always try to run from pubs with real ale and have been known to spend longer at the bar than we do on the trail.
What else do we do?
Running with TACH is more than just the Thursday night training sessions. Our members compete in many multi-terrain races in the region, often as a team, and we have our own internal club championship.
We also organise a number of our own race meetings throughout the year including the popular Summer Pub Series and a Winter Warmer Race in January each year. Details of forthcoming races will be posted here when available. We are quite a sociable bunch, even when we're not running. Throughout the year we meet up for pub-crawls, parties and our ever-popular annual Twelfth Night Dinner, where the club championship awards are presented.
Please contact us either via our contact page or by simply turning up at a couple of our Thursday training runs see if you like running with us. There's no pressure to join straightaway. We recommend you ring us and let us know before you turn up for your first run. This is so we can notify you in the unlikely event of a last minute change to the run venue. We hope you can join us and look forward to seeing you on the trail sometime soon.
Note for Hash House Harriers: many of our runners are hashers who joined TACH to expand their running horizons. If you're a hasher who wants to get into racing then come along You'll fit right in!

Many of you may know that Mark (landlord of the Beaufort Arms at Hawkesbury Upton) promotes the Long John Silver Trust (check out @ www.longjohnsilvertrust.co.uk ) and does a historical pub crawl around Bristol known as the Treasure Island Trail. He has invited the hash to participate on Saturday 17th February 2007 starting from the Kings Head (Victoria Street) at 12.00. Optimum numbers are 12-15, so first come first served, but please let me know if you are interested

This is not a hoax, the link is to the official government site where you
can sign petitions...this would have to be an incredibly elaborate hoax as
this website clearly cost hundreds of thousands of pounds to create and the
number of signatures got it mentioned on the news this morning....I
certainly don't want to pay more per mile in tax than I do in
petrol...£1.28 a mile the beeb said!!! sign!!! sign!!! while you can
still afford to go to work!!!

The Bristol/Greyhound/K&A/BOGS Hash website is down. (Not my fault, for once, honest.) The company which runs the server is working on the problem and hopes to have us back on-line soon, but, in the meantime, the next few runs are:
- NEXT LOCAL RUNS -
Sunday, 11 February, Bristol HHH: The George and Dragon, High Street, Pensford. A37 S of Bristol.
Monday, 12 February, Bristol Greyhound HHH: The Lamb Inn, Wotton Road, Iron Acton, off the B4058.
Wednesday, 14 February, Kennet and Avon HHH: The Two Pigs, Corsham. On A4, 3 miles SW of Chippenham.
Wednesday, 14 February, Bogs of Somerset HHH: The Ship Inn, Hillside Road, Portishead. Off Nore Road (the coast road SW of town). Valentine's Day run. Dress appropriately!

As Sergio's can't fit all 11 (!!) of us round a table we've changed the
venue to La Tasca on the triangle, 1900hours. Not a BYO, but we've had an
excellent WASHers in the Bath La Tasca, and the Bristol one seemd ok when
I've visited it in the past. We'll put Sergio's on the calender for later
this year.
There's still going to be a prelube at Averies from 6pm.

Just a reminder about the next WASHers on the 10th Feb at Sergios (http://www.bristolhash.org.uk/washers.php). There's going to be a prelube at Averies Wine Vaults from 6.30pm to taste and buy for the BYO restaurant.
I've booked a table for 6, but need fairly accuarate numbers so I can confirm numbers and make sure we've got a big enough table.
So far I've got: Me HBK Max Old Leg Over +1
That's 5. I'm sure someone else said they were coming, but can't remember who.
There was a rumour about Rodders. Haven't heard from Sleepy, PeePee or Slops Monster. Puki Jangut is considering it - don't know about Soprano. Kerb Crawler & Stiffy?
Could the above please confirm one way or another by email, text or phone message (or you could actually tell me person to person!).
Anyone else want to come? Let me know! They're fun evenings!
Is this personal knowledge my lovely? Because it doesn't come out right on
Yell, or Multimap....and you don't get many second chances on that stretch
of road.....

KEY NOTE: Messages are sent out in roughly twice weekly digests so as not to overload your inbox.
PURPOSE: As the 'War On Terror' spills over into a war across the entire Middle & Near East, and Horn of Africa, it is well past time to move beyond the comfort zone of A-B demonstrations (important as they are) and towards direct confrontation and opposition to our own illegal military state.
DAAW is a well moderated e-group. Most events or actions which are asking more than just the signing of another petition, or which are more than just another march from point A to
point B, will be considered for approval as a form of Direct Action.
BACKGROUND: The DAAW message board was initially created in Jan 2003 to protest the arrival of US B52 Bombers to RAF Fairford, U.K, from where Iraq was then carpet-bombed. Since then the message board has become home to a wide range of Direct Action related campaigns and protests.
We look forward to receiving your subscription request.
