Subject: Olympic champion in marathon in Warsaw
Hello!
We have pleasure to invite you to Flora Warsaw Marathon on September 17
this year.
Warsaw Marathon is being held since 1979 – it is one of the oldest
European marathons. Since 2005 it is also a part of 3-day long fete called
Warsaw Running Festival. The main event of the Festival is Flora Warsaw
Marathon, yet there is much more to see and to take part in.
Why should you come to Flora Warsaw Marathon? First of all, because of the
city. Flora Warsaw Marathon is a genuine city marathon. It’s route
leads through main streets of Warsaw and across places you can only read
about. If you study the map of Warsaw and mark the most interesting places
you are going to discover that they actually mark the course of the
marathon! And running through the streets of the Old Town, where the
cobblestones under your feet still remember the 16th century is the real
icing on the cake.
What else makes Flora Warsaw Marathon worth coming to? It’s the
atmosphere. If you want to run a marathon with thousands of cheering,
helpful children along the kerbs - Warsaw is the place to come to! Flora
Warsaw Marathon has a tradition of inviting the most creative and
enthusiastic young people for the race. And they pay back – creating
the most colorful crowd that offers support when you need it most.
Third main reason to come to Flora Warsaw Marathon is simply that it is
well organized marathon. It is not very crowdy – it has at about
2000 runners. They come from all over the world to run Flora Warsaw
Marathon: in 2005 runners from 35 countries and 5 continents took part in
it. This year, for the first time in polish marathon history, the Olympic
champion in marathon will also take part in Flora Warsaw Marathon. It will
be Josiah Thugwane – champion from Atlanta Olympics in 1996.
But not only marathon is worth coming to. Warsaw Running Festival offers
also other events, such as Herbalife Run or Warsaw Marathon Relay Ekiden.
During three-day long Festival you can choose from a variety of activities
that have one thing in common - running. And if you are keen on seeing
more than just runners - there are tons of lovely spots where you can
spend your time enjoying the stay.
If you are interested, you can find more info at www.warsawmarathon.com.
At our website you can register to the race, pay your start fee and book a
hotel or the whole travel package.
Best regards,
Agata Adamczewska

Although, to my knowledge, we have never met, I'm sure many agree with you that you are a wonderful person. However, we are a group of running clubs in a corner of England and our message board is for matters related to running, "hashing", local social events and other relevant news. However, if you're ever in the Bristol area, just turn up at one of our runs and I'm sure you'll be made very welcome.
Good luck with the "typing marathon". Twenty-six miles is a long way to carry a typewriter, or are you using a laptop?
Wolfie.

PS. By the way, it's "alumnus" unless there are more than one of you.

Yes correct the Wurzels are playing on Sunday 27th August (bank holiday
weekend as wetwipe said) and the full price is £7 and the lightweight would
like £5 deposit from anyone interested before he'll get tickets, should be a
good laugh, especially if you take on some lovely local apple juice!!
Iron Maiden xx
P.S. Anyone remember way back in January going to the haggis bash and
leaving a pair of trainers at the pub? If so we are in pocession of such
shoes should you want them back!! We went for some food at the pub in
Priddy the other week and he said they had a phone call from a lady saying
she'd left them and would come to collect them, but never did.......

Dear all,
HBK has asked me to let you know that the next WASHers meeting on the 5th
August Chez HBK will be an open hash house with beer and a barbie, a well as
fermented grape juice. All are welcome from mid afternoon (he probably said
an actual time but I can't remember what it was!)
He said that he'll let the WASHers have a corner of the garden to ourselves.
Gee, thanks HBK!
;-)

Just to remind you that there's a barbie-Q at 234 Ridgeway Rd, Fishponds
this Sunday from about 4pm. Beer and food provided (tho' you can bring extra
if you want to!).
All welcome (including better halves and small people)

Wolfie, you're a miserable old git. I make that sort of trip most weeks. Perhaps if you drove a car instead of a tank it would make life easier for you?
ps Hope you enjoyed the lunch - got to keep well nourished at your age.
Don't know if you got something about "self improvement" courses at Bristol Zoo? This is obviously of no importance to us because hashers are perfect already.
Anyway, this seems to have been sent by someone who joined woehashers simply to send their own advertising. The names Paul Elliot and Paul Owen were used. If these are known to you, let me know, but I've deleted the member and the message.
Oh, the power!
Sorry I didn't make it to Spider's run today; I usually try to, 'cos he sets good ones - Sal's sister took us out for lunch. Also, sorry I missed last week's, but didn't fancy the 60 mile round trip. Or the 48 mile round trip for the week before. Not that I'm trying to make a point or anything.

Hi All,
A couple of apologies this month, I am afraid.
Firstly, sorry we couldn't get our act together to get the trash out a
little earlier than this. ( http://www.fukfmhhh.freeuk.com/nf-run187.htm )
It includes Mr X's report of the Essex 1111 weekend. But it is the location
of the September r*n which has slowed things down and we still haven't made
the final decision on this. It will be one of the questions we will be
asking tomorrow night.
For those of you who can't make Mr X's Quiz Night at High Barnet more
apologies. I know that London & Essex both have r*ns elsewhere - you'd
think we could organise it a bit better, wouldn't you? If there are hashes
out there who like the idea of a joint r*n I have put a list of dates on
the website and hope we can work something out. (
http://www.fukfmhhh.freeuk.com/nf-receding.htm ) Any hare raisers out
there? Send us an e-mail.
Finally, something we are quite pleased about. Flying Booger, who puts
together a great hash site called 'The Half Mind Catalogue' has given us a
mention in his 'Cool Hash Page of the Month' section. Mr Loader and I are
quite chuffed to be included in this. It's certainly brought us to the
attention of a number of hashes worldwide. Have a look at
http://half-mind.com/kewl/kewl.htm and then see what else is on offer - if
you have a bit of time to spare.
So, until the next time,
On - On!
Mr Arse

At least some of us need cheering up after the English football
debacle. I think these are funny anyway;
1. SADDAM HUSSEIN HAS BEEN FOUND GUILTY AND SENTENCED TO BE SHOT.
HE WAS GIVEN A LAST REQUEST TO NAME HIS OWN FIRING SQUAD.
HE CHOSE LAMPARD, GERRARD AND CARRAGHER FROM 12 YARDS............
2. Good news for England. It's alleged that one of the Portuguese
football players failed a drugs and alcohol test after the match. If
this is confirmed as positive, under World Football Federation
rules, paragraph 6 sub section 2e, Portugal will forfeit the quarter
final match and England will play France in the Semi Final on
Wednesday.
Scroll down for the full transcript of this report.
Carlsberg do not send emails, but if they did they would probably be
the best emails in the world.
